(16k x 8) IC with 8085 using NAND gate decoder such that
the starting address assigned to the chip is C000H. (8 Marks)

U 12. b) i. Explain the software interrupts present in 8085 and the
processing of a software interrupt by 8085 in detail. (8 Marks)
A 12. b) ii. Draw the interfacing diagram to connect an 8-bit DIP switch
with 8085 using I/O mapped I/O scheme such that the address

8251 (USART) for asynchronous serial communication. (16 Marks)

A 14. a) i. Write 8051 assembly language program to generate a square


wave of 2kHz frequency in pin P1.0 using 8051 timer. The
crystal frequency is 12 MHz. (8 Marks)
A 14. a) ii. Write the algorithm and 8051 assembly language program to
multiply two 8 bit numbers stored in the external memory
Location 9000H & 9001H and store the result in Internal
RAM at address 50H & 51H. (8 Marks)

A 14. b) Write the algorithm and 8051 assembly language program to
transmit the message “ENTRY” repeatedly through serial port
of 8051 at 9600 baud rate in mode 1 by polling method. The
crystal frequency is 11.0592 MHz. (16 Marks)

A 15. a) Draw the interfacing diagram to connect a 16 x 2 LCD with


8051 and write the program to display “WELCOME” in the
LCD. (16 Marks)
OR
A 15. b) Draw the interfacing diagram to connect an 8-bit DAC with
8085 processor through 8255 IC and write the programs to
generate
A) a ramp wave and
B) a square wave. The peak value of both waveforms must be
5V. (16 Marks)
