Korean Wave: It's Impact To The Senior High School Students' Lifestyle

This study examines the impact of Korean culture, known as the "Korean Wave," on the lifestyles of senior high school students in the Philippines. A survey was conducted of students at Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School to determine the level of students' exposure to Korean Wave and how it affects their habits and activities. The results show the degree to which students engage with Korean music, television shows, and movies. A significant relationship was found between exposure to Korean Wave and changes in students' lifestyle choices. The researchers conclude that Korean pop culture influences Filipino youth culture and recommend further analysis of its effects.

Abstract

This study is all about Korean Wave, the music and drama fan

culture in the Philippines. It describes how the culture of Korea developed

and became popular in the Philippines. The study wanted to find out what

is the impact of Korean wave to the students' lifestyle. Specifically,

researchers sought answers to all senior high school students in NNCHS.

The study was a correlational research design. The respondents of the

study were the Senior High School students. Copies of the questionnaire

were given to the respondents who answered the questionnaire during their

vacant period. The data were tolled, tabulated and analyzed. The study is

expected to foster a wider understanding of Korean Wave in the Philippines

and also its impact to the lifestyle of students.
