Puzzle – 1-
More than 10 persons were sitting in a circular table facing the centre.

 Q is 3rd to the left of R.


 Two person are sitting between Y and Q.
 P sits immediate right of Z. One person is sitting between R and Z.
 Less than two person are sitting between Y and P when counted left from
Y.
 P does not sit second to the right of Q.

Puzzle – 2 –
I, J, L, M, S, and V are sitting in a single row that contains 21 seats. None of
these six people are sitting together.

 S is sitting exactly in the middle seat of the row.


 L sits exactly between S and J.
 I sits fifth to the right of V.
 I doesn’t sits in any seat to the right of S.
 M is not sitting in any of the seat to the right of S.
 I is sitting as far as from the left end of the row as L is sitting from the

A certain number of persons are sitting in the linear line all faces South.

 Only three person lives between I and D.


 K sits fourth to the right of D.
 M is an immediate neighbour of D
 Only five persons sits between O and Q.
 S sits second to the left of Q.
 O will not sits fourth to the left of S.
 V sits third to the left of I and sits second to the right of Q.
 Only two persons sits between K and Y who is not an immediate
neighbour of D.
 Not more than Ten persons and not less than eight persons sits to the right
of O.
 Z sits exactly between M and Y.
 Less than 20 persons sits in the row.

Puzzle – 4 –
Few persons were seated around a circular table facing the centre. The chairs
were kept at equal distances and the number of persons was not less than 16 and
not more than 20.

 Number of persons between C and E when counted from the left of C was
thrice as that of the number of persons seated between C and J when
counted from the right of C.
 J and E were immediate neighbouring each other.
 K was seated to the immediate left of M who was at a gap of 3 from P.
 J was 3rd to the right of P.
 R was 2nd to the right of U and 2nd to the left of K.
 J is to the immediate left of E.

Puzzle – 5 –
Nine persons L, M, P, Q, S, T, X, Y, Z were seated around a circular table
facing the centre. There were ‘n’ number of chairs around the table and few of
them were vacant, rest were taken by these nine persons.

 Q was seated on a seat that was 2nd to the left of Y and was at a gap of 3
seats from T’s seat.
 Z was seated on the seat that was to the immediate right of T.
 Number of seats between M and S when counted from the left of M was
one more than the number of seats between S and Z when counted from
the right of Z.
 S was on a seat that was 2nd to the right of L’s seat and was 2nd to the left
of X’s seat.
 X and Q were seated at a gap of 5 seats and only one person was seated
on one of those 5 seats.
 P was seated at a gap of 1 seat from T.
 Only 2 persons were seated between L and T, but L was not seated
neighbouring P.
 Not more than 2 seats were placed between S and P when counted from
the right of P.

Puzzle – 6 –

There are some boxes which are arranged one above another such that one box
is placed at the bottom and another box is placed just above that box.

 Only two boxes are there in between Indigo box and box C and Indigo
box is above box C.
 Box F is of Violet colour and is placed above box P.
 There is only one box in between Box R and Box F.
 Purple box is placed below C, Which is not of Green colour.

There are some person seating in a straight line facing north.

Puzzle – 8 –

Rajiv wanted to go to the mall, so he started walking from point P.

 He walks from Point P towards north and reached Q after walking


10 m.
 At Q he turned 45 degrees towards north – east and walked 6 \/2m
to reach point R.
 From point R he turned 135 degrees towards his right and walked 6
m to reach point S, which is in line with Q.
 From point S he turned to his left and after walking 6m, he reached
a point T.
 From T he turned 90 degrees towards his right and found himself
walking in the direction opposite to which he started his journey.
After walking 5 m from T, he reached the mall.

Puzzle – 9 –
Shivam and Ravi are two racers who started from point J and point T
respectively.

 Shivam started moving towards the north direction and after


travelling 2km, he reached a point H which lies on the
circumference of a circular track with radius 5km. From there he
kept on moving ahead along the circular track in clock wise
direction and after travelling half the circumference of the track, he
reached point I where he found himself facing towards the east
direction. He then stopped there to wait for Ravi.
 Ravi started moving towards west direction and after travelling 5km
he reached point U, which is in line with point T and point H. From
point U he turned 45 degrees towards his right and travelled 10\/2
km to meet Shivam at point I.

Puzzle – 10 –
Two friends Ramesh and Mukesh started moving in opposite directions from
point A.

 After moving 7m from point A, Ramesh turned towards his right and
moved 6m after which he turned more than 135 degrees anti-clockwise
and moved 10m before stopping at point B which is in line with point A.
 Mukesh turned right after moving 3m from point A and then walked
ahead to move 2m. After which he turned to his left to move 2m in west
direction. He then took a left turn and moved 14m to reach point C.

Puzzle – 12 –
A shelf 146cm in length has five racks of different colours Violet, Green, Silver,
Golden, Purple.. The racks are facing north and contains certain number of
Metal and wooden boxes. Each rack has at least one wooden and one metal
boxes. The length of a wooden box is 4cm and the length of a metal box is 3cm.
Each rack is filled to its maximum capacity. The boxes are kept side by side
along their length.

 The Green rack is 3rd to the left of the Purple rack which is 26 cm in
length.
 Violet and Purple rack have same number of wooden boxes.
 Violet and Green rack have same number of metal boxes.
 The Silver and Violet racks are not beside each other.
 The difference between the length of Silver and Golden rack is 18cm
 Golden rack has 11 boxes in total and is 15 cm longer than the Violet
rack.
 Violet rack is 3rd to the left of the Golden rack whose neighbouring rack
has 5 boxes.
 Purple rack has twice as many metal boxes as that in the Silver rack.

Puzzle – 13 –
There are seven people Ravi, Amit, Rani, Geeta, Raj, Ajay, Sanju. They all
were born on different year viz. 1946, 1953, 1961, 1969, 1978, 1984 and 1993
but not necessarily in same order. But the date and month of birth of all these
persons are same. Calculation is done with respect to the present year 2018 and
assuming months and date to be same.

 Rani’s age is perfect square.


 The difference of age between Sanju and Rani is perfect cube.
 The addition of age of Ravi and Sanju is prime number.
 The addition of age of Ajay and Ravi is equal to age of Raj.
 The difference of age between Ajay and Amit is less than 10 year.

but not necessarily in the same order.

 S’s age is 3rd lowest and P’s age is 5th lowest among all the ages.

Five friends A, B, C, D and E working in five different stores i.e. Shoe, Cloth,
Food, Bag, Sports. They belongs from different cities i.e. Patna, Bhopal, Delhi,
Mumbai, Pune. They earn different salaries i.e., Rs. 5000, Rs. 8000, Rs. 10000,
Rs. 14000 and Rs. 15000.

 The one, who works in Food store, earns Rs. 14000.


 D earns Rs. 5000 more than A but does not belongs to Delhi and Pune
and D does not works in Bag store.
 The one, who belong to Mumbai does not earn highest amount but works
in a cloth store.
 B belongs to bhopal but does not works in Sports and Shoe store.
 E does not belongs to Mumbai but works in sports store and earns Rs.

Six persons A, B, C, D, E and F are comparing their weights and each of them
is having a different weight.

 D is heavier than only two persons.


 E is the only person heavier than F and lighter than D.
 C’s weight is less than only B’s weight.
 The third heaviest weight is 90kgs and the fifth heaviest weight is 60kgs.

A, B, C, D, E, and F are going to six different cities, i.e. Patna, Bhopal, Delhi,
Kanpur, Udaipur, Ranchi, but not necessarily in the same order. All are going
by three different modes of transport, i.e. Train, Bus, Car. At least two persons
travel by each mode of transport.

 E goes to Udaipur by Train and A goes to Delhi.


 Car is being used by the persons who are going to Ranchi and Bhopal.
 The one who is travelling by Bus is not going to Kanpur.
 B is travelling by Bus and C is travelling by Train.
 D does not go to Ranchi.

First 14 odd numbers are written from top to bottom. The letters of word
‘TIRED’ are written in alphabetical order against each multiple of 3 (One letter

were born on the same day on 1st January and assume all the age calculations
were made as on 1st January 2018.

 P was thrice as old as V.


 V and W were born at a gap of 2 persons.
 R was twice as old as Q.
 T was born just after Q.
 U was not the youngest.
 U and S were not born consecutively.

There are seven persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, and V. They all were born on different

Linier Sitting Arrangement –
Puzzle – 22 –
Six Cars Centro, Celerio, Alto, Nano, Beat, Swift are standing in a row facing
north. Distance between two adjacent cars are successive multiples of 5 (e.e. if
the distance between the 1st and the 2nd car is 5m, 2nd and 3rd car is 10m and
between 3rd and 4th car is 15m and so on.) Following information is known
about them.

 Distance between Nano and Alto, Beat and Swift is even and sum of the
distances between them is equal to twice the distance between Alto and
Swift.
 Centro stands on an extreme end and is 150m away from Alto.
 As many cars stand on left of Alto as on right of Swift, also same is the
case with Centro and Celerio, Centro being analogous with Alto.
 Beat is not an immediate neighbour of Alto.
 Minimum distance between first two adjacent cars is greater than 30m
and less than 40m, starting from the left end.
 Celerio moves 100m towards south to reach point A.
 Alto moves in a certain direction to reach a point B which is 60m towards

8 students i.e. A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting in a straight line. They all
are facing south. Each one of them has a different age i.e. 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21,
23 and 26 year, but not necessarily in the same order.

 B sits at one of the extreme end of the row.


 There are three persons sitting between C and F.
 F is of neither 12 nor 17 year old.
 There are two persons sitting between D and the person whose age is 21
years.
 Neither F nor D is the oldest person.
 Age difference of immediate neighbours of D is an even number.
 A sits left to the G, but not immediate left.
 There are 3 persons sitting between B and the one whose age is 14 year.

Eight persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W are sitting in a straight line . Some of
them are facing towards north direction while some of them are facing towards
south direction. They all like different colours like Red, Blue, Green, Black,
White, Indigo, Violet, and Pink but not necessarily in the same order.

 P likes Black and sits third from one of the extreme end of line.
 There are three persons sit between P and W, who likes Blue.
 V sits second to right of W.
 The one who likes White does not sit adjacent to one who likes Blue.
 Q likes White and sits third to right of U, who likes Red.
 R does not like Indigo. T does not like Violet.
 Q does not sit any of the extreme end of the line.
 There are as many as persons sit between R and the one who likes Green
and as between S and the one who likes Green.
 U faces south.

Eight Persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H who all are sitting in a row such that
four of them faces towards north and four of them faces towards south direction.
They all have different movies Robot, DDLJ, Sholay, Baahubali, Spider,
Parmanu, Avenger, Justice league but not necessarily in the same order.

 C does not sit at the end of the row.


 The one who likes Avenger sits between the one who likes Parmanu and

 Only 3 persons are sitting to the right of M, who is 16 years old.


 The immediate neighbours of M faces opposite directions.
 The age of O is four times to the age of M.
 P and R are the immediate neighbours of N and none of them are sitting
at the corner.
 Q is elder than N and R and sits at one of the end.
 The sum of the ages of M and N is equal to the age of L whose age is not
the multiple of 3.
 L is elder than Q and S is elder than P.

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are sitting in a straight line facing
north. Each of them went to tour a different places i.e. January, February,
March, April, May, June, July and August but not necessarily in the same
order.

 G sits 3rd to the right of the person who went to tour in May.
 Neither G nor the person went to tour in May sits at extreme corner.

Memory Based Puzzles

Puzzle – 51- (IBPS PO Main - 2017)


Seven persons are sitting in a straight line. Four of them are facing south and
remaining of them are facing north. They also like different flavour of ice-
cream Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Raspberry, Lemon, Orange and Mango
but not necessarily in the same order. Those seven people are also sitting in
alphabetical order from left end.

 Q likes Lemon.
 The person who likes Strawberry sits second to the left of P.
 Two persons sit between the one who likes Strawberry and the one who
likes Vanilla.
 The immediate neighbours of the one, who likes Vanilla faces opposite
directions (i.e. if one faces to north then the other faces to south vice
versa).
 The one who likes Orange sits second to the right to Q.
 Only one person sits between R and the one, who likes Raspberry.
 The persons who like Vanilla and Chocolate are immediate neighbours.
 The one, who likes Mango sits third to the right of the person who likes
Orange.
 Q and R face opposite directions (i.e. If one faces north then the other
faces south vice versa).
 The one who likes Vanilla faces south.
 The person who likes Raspberry faces north.

There are Some boxes which are arranged one above another such that one box
is placed at the bottom and another box is placed just above that box and all are
arranged in the same order.

 Only two boxes are there in between Red box and box Q and Red box is
above box Q.
 There is only one box in between box J and box O.
 Box O is of Pink colour and is placed above box M.

 Only one box is placed in between box M and Red box.
 More than four boxes are placed in between box J and Red box.
 There are as same boxes placed between box O and the box which is of
Red colour as same as between The box which is of Red colour and the
box which is of grey colour.

from each other but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing
south while some are facing north.

 A faces north.

 F sits to the immediate right of E.

There are eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H lives on eight different floors
from one to eight. Ground floor is number 1 and top floor is number 8 but not
necessarily in the same order.

 F lives on odd number floor but does not live on 3rd floor.
 H lives immediate below F.
 More than two person lives between G and H.
 There are six person lives between A and G.
 D lives immediate above E but live below B.
 C does not live above F.
 E does not live immediate above G.

towards centre. 4 of the persons are sitting in 4 corners while 4 of the persons
are sitting in the middle of the sides. They have different ages. Those who sits
in the corners having the ages multiple of 3. Those who sits at the middle of the
sides having the ages multiple of 2.

 A sits 2nd to the right of the one who has the age of 44.
 A is an immediate neighbour of the one who is 39 years old.
 Two persons sit between B and having the age of 39.
 B has not the age of 44.
 E sits 2nd to the left of B.
 D is immediate right of the person having age of 15.
 Three persons sit between H and the one having age of 15.
