We all know that the Philippines is one of the largest populated country in the
whole word, It is important that we look at those problems since every human human has an
ability to prevent future damages and adjust their lifestyles to decelerate this increase in
population. According to the NSO or National Statistics Office in the Philippines, the
population growth as of 2013 is ninety eight million seven hundred thirty four thousand seven
hundred ninety eight or 98,734,798 in numbers. It is said that the rate of the population of the
Philippines is rapidly growing. The population of the Philippines has been steadily growing
for many years. It is the 13th most populated country in the world, between Mexico and
Ethiopia, and grew at a rate of 1.72% between 2010 and 2015. The 2019 population is 108.12
million, according to the latest UN estimates. Philippines population climbs, food problems
loom. ... The country has one of the highest population growth rates in the region, with at
least three babies born every minute. Its population reached 88.57 million at a census in
August last year, up from 76.5 million in 2000,
The Philippines has one of the fastest growing populations in Southeast Asia.
By the year 2050, the global population is expected to pass nine billion people, a significant
increase from the six-and-a-half billion today. In the Philippines, they are already running out
of space. According to Renewable Resources Coalition Poverty is believed to be the leading
cause of overpopulation. A lack of educational resources, coupled with high death rates
leading to higher birth rates, result in impoverished areas seeing large booms in population.
The effect is so extensive that the UN has predicted that the forty-eight poorest countries in
the world are also likely to be the biggest contributors to population growth. Their estimates
state that the combined population of these countries is likely to balloon to 1.7 billion in
2050, from 850 million in 2010. Republic Act no. 6365 an act establishing a National Policy
on Population, Creating the commission on population and for other purposes.
Rapid population growth is detrimental to achieving economic and social progress and
to sustainable management of the natural resource base. ... These human resource development
efforts also have positive effects on agricultural productivity and, hence, on food security. If we
continue to have such a high population growth rate we will struggle to support the billions of
people on this planet. This will cause famine and conflict and will limit the resources for future
generations. We will destroy the earth rather than preserving it which is our duty since we inhabit
the earth.
