Visualization For Data Science and AI: Friday 13 September 2019
Visualization For Data Science and AI: Friday 13 September 2019
The Alan Turing Institute is located on the first floor of the British Library (right hand side) and can be
accessed via the main doors from 09:30 onwards. Please allow 15 minutes for queuing when planning your
journey.
This 2-hour workshop will teach you how to exploit the power of visualization tools in data science,
using the industry-leading Tableau Desktop software. The workshop is hands-on, so you must bring a
computer with Tableau Desktop installed and we will assume that you have already completed the Get
Started tutorial.
It is delivered jointly by Roy Ruddle and staff from Tableau. The workshop is divided into:
• Advanced functionality
• Data science challenges
Free student and academic teaching/research licences are also available.
This afternoon will cover the latest visualization research from UK groups, including updates on Turing
sponsored pilot projects in visualization systems and end user methods.
