Students undergoing this course are expected to

 Understand the fundamental concepts of Operational amplifier

 Derive the gain equations for the Inverting and Non-Inverting configurations.

 Design and develop the circuits for different applications using operational Amplifier

 develops students’ ability to solve problems in electronic circuits and equips students with
skills for experimentation on electronic circuits

(b) Unit-2: Objectives

 Understand the fundamental concepts of Bipolar Junction Transistor.

 Analyze and identity the region of operation for BJT circuits at DC.

 Design and analyze the BJT biasing circuits.

 To develop the basic understanding of amplifier designing and its analysis using
hybrid π and T models.

 To make the students aware of the importance of Coupling, bypass and internal
capacitors in amplifier circuits and its effect on frequency response.

 To make students aware of amplifier operation at low and high frequency and its
frequency responses.

(b) Unit-3: Objectives

 Understand the fundamental concepts of MOSFET

 Analyze and identity the region of operation for MOSFET circuits at DC.

 Design and analyze the MOSFET biasing circuits.

 To develop the basic understanding of amplifier designing and its analysis using
hybrid π and T models.

 To make the students aware of the importance of Coupling, bypass and internal

(b) Unit-4: Objectives

 Understand the fundamental concepts of differential Amplifiers.

 Understand the Small signal operation of differential pairs and derive the
expressions for Differential gain, Common mode gain and CMRR.

 Understand and analyze the large signal operation of differential pair.

 Derive the expressions for CMRR when there is a mismatch in different


parameters.

 Derive the expressions for transconductance ,Output Resistance , differential


gain, Common mode gain and CMRR of Differential amplifier with an active
load

(b) Unit-5: Objectives

 Understand the fundamental concepts of positive and negative feedback.

 Identify the sampling and mixing networks in feedback amplifiers.

 Derive the expressions for gain, input and output resistances with feedback.

 Analyze the properties of negative feedback.

 Understand the fundamental concept of oscillation and derive the expressions


for frequency of oscillation in RC and LC oscillators.
