 INTRODUCTION
This powerful book “Ancient Secret of Prosperity” cures the greatest
problem of man which is ignorance. When a man has an open mind to learn goes
farther in destiny, and it’s an eye opener to the foundational teaching in the body
of Christ, and gives answer to all questions concerning the TITHE and
OFFERING. Like the tithe belongs to who? Did the tithe ends with the law? Is
there any need of paying the tithe? And so on.
It’s a pity today that some that know this truth don’t obey, they have so many
reasons why they will not obey, and as well as discourage others not to obey; it’s
written;
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity,
and their years in pleasures. But if they obey not, they shall perish by the
sword, and they shall die without knowledge. Job 36:11, 12
Any man that is not ready to obey and serve the Lord with everything that
God has blessed him with will perish by the sword, and die without knowledge. In
the rare sense, whatsoever you have today is God’s. And as a born again child of
God, your obedience and services to God should be quick and prompt, obedience
is not obedience until it’s quick and prompt. If you want to enjoy prosperity all
throughout your time on earth must keep practicing this principle. It’s principle that
makes you a principality – a giant in faith. God bless Dr. Dag Heward Mills who

The TITHE and OFFERING is an ancient secret of prosperity that is still
relevant today in the body of Christ. And that as tax is to the government so tithe
is to God. Everybody pays tithe whether to a wahala-problem, sickness, sacrifice
on evil altar, The God – Through your pastor local assembly and the like. It’s
better you pay it to the gospel than any other thing else. May God open your eyes
of understanding and empower you to be a faithful tither in JESUS Name. Shout

 CHAPTER ONE
CURSES OF NON-TITHERS
And all the tithe of the land whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of
the tree, is the LORD’s: It is holy unto the LORD.
-Leviticus 27:30.
Firstly, let’s define the word “Ancient”
The word “Ancient” simply means something or somebody very old or
something or somebody of a great age. It also means something or somebody
that has existed for a very long time.
This ancient secret or principle of prosperity is the tithe and offering. It has
been in existence from the foundation of the world. When God created man, and
put him in the garden of Eden in the person of Adam, then He put him in the
garden to dress and keep it. He gave man everything in the garden of Eden,
including all the fruits in the trees except one. God commanded the man “of every
tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof
thou shalt surely die”. The particular tree that God told him not to eat fruits from
was the tithe and offering. There are some glory God can never share with man.

Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the
field bringeth forth year by year - Deuteronomy 14:22.

Tithe is a strong principle that can break the yoke of poverty, and cause you
to move from one level to another. Adam would have hold on to God’s
commandment despite he ate the fruit through his wife – Eve, but he couldn’t
resist her love. Love is the strongest force on earth. The force of love made Adam
disobeyed his first love because when God gave the instructions Eve was not
there, neither was she formed. If you truly love God, you will learn to give Him
your tithe as a sign of your love for Him.
Any believer that refuse to honour God with His tithe will live the life of
dishonour.

 What really happened to Adam and Eve when they ate their tithes?
What happened to them are;

1. They were driven out of the garden of Eden

2. They attracted shame

3. They lost God’s glory

4. They became prone to attack

5. They became stranded

6. They lost God’s Favour

7. They attracted curses

8. They lost God’s relationship.

It’s written;
You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed me,
even this whole nation. – Malachi 3:9.
Non-tithers are cursed with a curse, the curse is not only to the priest as
some preachers or theologians say that it’s only the priest that should tithe but the
Bible says this whole nation. Payment of the tithe is for everybody not just for the
priest. Ok!
Imagine someone that refuse to pay tithe is curse with a curse, anyone that
is cursed can’t prosper, because a curse is a plague of limitation, disfavour and
rejection.
What is a curse?

- A curse is a persistent rejection on someone

- A curse is a plague of limitation on someone

- A curse is the yoke of disfavour on someone

- A curse is a persistent frustration on someone

- A curse is a continuous failure on someone

- A curse is a yoke of resistance on someone

- A curse is the yoke of rejection at work on someone

6 – Curses that follow non-tithers
These curses are:
1. The curse on a thief – there is a curse on a thief generally, and a curse on
those that steal from God. Infact, a thief is already a cursed person.
It’s written;
Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the
face of the whole earth: Every thief shall be expelled, according
to what is on this side of the scroll; and, “Every perjurer shall be
expelled”, according to what is on that side of it”. I will send out
the curse,” says the LORD of host; “It shall enter the house of
the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by my
name. it shall remain in the midst of his house and consume it,
with its timber and stones” Zach. 5:3-4

The curse on a thief is terrible of where we read that his/her house will
become desolate that no matter what he/she acquire through robbing will become
nothing and useless in his/her hands. That means, your labour through robbing is
in vain. If physical robbers are cursed, what about spiritual robbers? Spiritual
robbers are worst because they’re robbing God. That means, spiritual robbers are
double cursed by God .

2. The curse on breakers of the law

Those who break the law are equivalent to those who don’t tithe. If you don’t
tithe you are a breaker of the law and for that you’re cursed. These curses are
about 71 from Deut. 28:15-68. That is, everything about you and your generations
will be cursed.

3. The curse of close heavens and hard earth

And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze,
and the earth which is under you shall be iron . – Deut. 28:23
Imagine, someone heaven’s is a bronze and earth iron, can’t produce forth
anything, that individual will labour in vain and count losses through out his life
time

“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit
of the tree, is the LORD’s it is holy to the LORD. – Levi. 27:30.

All the tithe of the land is for the LORD’s. Non-tithers or unfaithful tithers are
only attracting curses on their lives. Whether you like it or not everybody pay
tithes in one or the other. Like some pay it in the hospital, prison or into a wahala
– trouble.
4. The curse of idol worship
Those who don’t pay tithes has made money their god. That is, they’re
equally quietly worshiping idols, money has rule over them, money is now their
god, and that means they can do anything for it, even kill for it. Payment of tithe is
a medium of keeping yourself from idol. Don’t be selfish and greedy to the extend
that you don’t tithe.
“Cursed is the one who makes any carved or molded image an
abomination to the LORD, the work of the hands of craftsman, and sets it up
in secret; And all the people shall answer and say, “Amen!” Deut. 27:15.
Money is the god of this world, that is why people can do anything for
money. People worship money. Sometimes, if you can’t calculate your tithe pay
above. Ok!
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes…
– Mala. 3:11A.

The last word in the last book of the old testament is a curse. It’s worst when
God cursed a man, a cursed man can never make progress in life.

5. The curse of the devourer

The devourer is a destroyer, a waster and a spoiler of resources. When a
devourer is at work in a man’s life, that man will keep labouring in vain but God
assured us to rebuke the devourers when we’re faithful with our tithe.
6. The curse of forgetting God

 All those who forget God are cursed. It’s a sign that whenever you don’t pay
your tithe you’re only telling Him that it’s not Him who has given you all that you
have. It’s also non-remembrance or acknowledgement of God in your life and
endeavours.
The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget
God. – Psalm 9:17.

 CHAPTER TWO
REASONS OF THE TITHE AND OFFERING

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper

and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
– 3 John 2.
In this chapter, we’re going to look out reasons why God established the
tithe, but what does prosperity mean? It means rich in all things. Prosperity is your
birthright and inheritance. Nobody suppose to live in poverty. Christ became poor
that we be rich. When you practice Christ principles of prosperity you will prosper,
and one of these principles is the tithe and offering. The reasons why God
Established the tithe are:
1. To enjoy the ninety percent (90%) – it’s the tenth percent-your tithe to God
that makes you enjoy the ninety percent. When you pay your tithe it’s a sign that
you’re telling Him thank you for providing for you.
And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God had
given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the
stranger that is among you. – Deut. 26:11
2. To encourage Levites (Pastors) and keep them serving in the house of
God – The truth is that nobody can truly pay a pastor. Only God can, Levites
(Pastors) can be encouraged with the tithe as they also share with the
widows/widowers, less privilege, strangers, and so on.
When thou had made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase
the third year, which is the year of tithing, and had given it unto the Levite,
the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy
gates and be filled; Deut. 26:12.

“Faithful is He who has called you who also will do it.

– 2 Thess. 5:24.
God is too faithful to fail, it’s only man that is unfaithful. Despite man’s
unfaithfulness He is still faithful but God want us to be faithful so that His word will
come to pass in our lives. He wants to bless us beyond the way we desire to be

blessed. Our faithfulness begins with the life we live, and the practice of His
principles especially the principle of the tithe.
3. To take care of the helpless, poor, needy and so on – When the tithe is
paid in His house (Church), It’s now the discretion of the Levites (Pastors) to
make good use of it. Some persons say that there are no Levite in any other
country except Israel, it’s lack of understanding. Pastors around the world are the
spiritual Levites today. Pastors are Levites today. When people give their tithe to
the needy and others directly it’s out of greed and self-centreness, and it’s
unscriptural. If you want to give to the needy and others, give from the ninety
percent[90%]after you’ve pay your tithe-10%.OK!
It’s the pastor that should do the distribution. It’s only when the pastor uses
it for self agratisement or anyhow that it becomes bad because it’s God’s money.
Let God be the judge. Please read Deut. 26:13.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may
be meat in mine house, … – Mala. 3:10A.

It’s all the tithe, it’s not negotiable. When there is enough meat (food) in the
house of God no one will lack except the pastor is self-centred because he
determine the distributions. Nobody suppose to lack in the house of God if not that
people are wicked, some will never pay their tithes while others will go share it to
beggars. They even want the pastor to suffer and die of hunger.
4. To show honour and remember His works – Whenever you pay your tithe
you’re saying Lord thank you for giving me the strength to make this money. It’s a
symbol of honour and remembering how He helped you to get to the level you are
right now. Please read Deut. 26:1-6.
5. To test our level of obedience – God can’t use you until He test you, so
also tithing is a test of your obedience to Him. If you truly love the Lord you will
tithe without the reminder of anybody. Abraham was tested, the Bible says “And
God did tempt (test)” in Genesis 22:1. Until you’re tested, you can’t be trusted.

 God created you to have dominion and take charge of your inheritance in
Christ, that is you should enjoy what Christ enjoyed when He was on earth.
6. To create a group of prosperous people on the earth – Any man that
reject this principle of tithing will crash tomorrow no matter the level he attain.
Payment of tithe is a platform to living a prosperous life on the earth, and taking
charge of your inheritance. Please read Deut. 26:18-19.
7. To have a legal platform to blessing His people – God wants you to
manifest your inheritance in Christ but sometimes wants to unleashed His
blessings in you from a platform. Why do you want to manifest His blessings? If
you are not faithful with little tithe you can’t be faithful with much tithe. Please
read Deut. 26:15.
Honey, anytime you pay your tithe you’re investing into your future via His
house, and when God starts unleashing His blessings, it will come like a rushing
mighty wind.
Hear these: you don’t use your tithe for another project in your local
assembly because it’s a debt you must pay. It’s the priest that receives your tithes.
When you pay your tithe you’re helping your destiny. No man can help God, and
God only men to accomplish His purpose on Earth.

 CHAPTER THREE
MYSTERY ABOUT THE TITHE AND OFFERING
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy …” – Psalm 126:5.

You can’t attract givers until you’re a giver because only those that sow in tears will
reap in joy. You may not reap where you sow but will what you sow. Giving is God’s nature,
He gave out His only son as an offering to the entire world just to save us from all oppressions
of the devil. If you must resemble God, you must become a reckless giver. Givers truly never
lack while “Lackers” don’t give. People that gives fly higher. You must understand that there
is no convenient time to give, there are always needs to meet or problems to solve, it’s from
one need to another, if you consider your needs or problems you will never give. Therefore,
learn to give every time to keep prospering in every areas of your life.
Honey, you don’t only give your money, you can as well give your potentials, time,
words of encouragement, energy, and so on. Everyone has something to give, don’t ever say I
don’t have there is always something in your house to give. Let giving offering be part of you.
Sometimes, you can give material things when you don’t have money to give. The more you
give, the more you create an atmosphere of receiving. Be a giver to be a receiver. To really
sow in tears is to give something painful. If it’s not painful it will not be gainful. Thank you
Jesus.
“… It is more blessed to give than to receive”
– Acts 20:35D.

The word “Offering” appears in the whole Bible 724 times while the word “Offerings”
appears in the whole Bible 265 times. Right from the beginning it has always been offering
upon offering even Baba God killed an animal as an offering in the garden of Eden as a
prophetic symbol of His Son, and used the skin to cover Adam and Eve’s nakedness.

We have different kinds of offering right from the old to the new – the era of
grace. These kinds of offerings are:
1. Burnt Offering – Exodus 18:12
2. Drink Offering – Gen. 35:14, Exo. 29:40.
3. Sin (Mercy) Offering – Gen. 29:14, 9:36
4. Wave Offering – Gen. 29:24
5. Heave Offering – Gen. 29:27
6. Meat Offering – Gen. 29:41
7. Peace Offering – Leviticus 3:1
8. Trespass Offering – Leviticus 5:6, Lev. 7:37, 7:1.

An Offering is an offer to a deity either by cash or kind. The different kinds of

offerings were offered as a sacrifices unto the LORD. But in this era of Grace
JESUS offered Himself as a sacrifice to redeem us back to GOD. Although, we
still give offerings to Him in His house but not like the old testament believers
practiced it.
Life is all about giving and receiving, the more you give the more you
receive either by cash or kind. Givers are reapers because they’re investors in His
house and the lives of men. Any man that is an investor will always reap. Giving is
living. Is just like plants give animals oxygen to survive so also animals give plants
carbon-dioxide to survive. If plants fail to give animals oxygen then the animals
will die. If the animals fail to give plants carbon-dioxide then the plants will die
likewise. If you don’t give, you can’t live. If for instance, you’re eating and eating
without giving to the toilet you’ll become sick and going to die.
REASONS WHY SOME GIVERS DON’T REAP
These reasons are:
1. Bad soil – Bad soil refers to empty or corrupt altars stationed or mobile. Not
all soil grow seeds, some soils are stony or sandy. Bad soils are killers of seeds,
your seeds can never germinate on bad soils, it’s only good soils that grow seeds.

 By the grace of God, there is no evil yoke giving can’t break, it depends on
how you do it. Where your prayers stopped that is where your giving begins.
2. Doubt or murmuring – When you doubt or murmur on your seeds, you
have cooked your seeds. Cooked seeds don’t grow no matter the environment.
3. Trying to calculate God – No man can calculate God, is too big to be
calculated. All you need do is to trust Him, and not to rely on your understanding.
When you try to calculate God you will miss it.
4. Trying to help God – Any man that try to help God get frustrated, Uzzah try
to help God he died. GOD is too powerful to be helped – 2 Samuel 6:5-15. You’II
do otherwise when you try to help God. Uzzah was not suppose to touch the ark
because he was not a Levite or from Levite (Priest) family.
5. Dwelling in the past – When you dwell in the past of your giving, you move
no where. Until you give to make your cloud full your rain will not pour down –
Ecc.11:1-6.

 CHAPTER FOUR
BLESSINGS OF FAITHFUL TITHERS
Blessings are free but not cheap. It’s the sacrifices of Jesus that made it free
while it’s our demand that made it not cheap.
There are 10 – blessings of faithful tithers, I discover in the book of Malachi
3:10-12. These blessings are:
1. There will be meat (Divine Provision) in your house: In vs 10 – “Bring ye
all the tithes into the store house (Church), that there may be MEAT IN
MINE HOUSE…”
When you are an instrument in God’s hand to making meat (food) available in
God’s house, your house will never lack food. The house of God suppose not
to lack food because it’s the last hope of man. When people run to the
church, and there is no food they’ll be disappointed.
2. Right to prove God: Still in vs 10 – “… AND PROVE ME NOW herewith,
saith the LORD OF hosts…”
The right to prove God is to challenge Him by His word hence you’re a faithful
tither. You can say to Him, Lord, I’m a faithful tither, let the benefits of tithing
be my portion in JESUS name.
3. Open heaven or your open heaven is guarantee: Still in vs 10- “… If I will
not OPEN YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVENS…”
One of the greatest thing a man can enjoy from God is walking under open
heaven. A man that is under open heaven does not no struggle in life and destiny.
An open heaven simply means that you will never lack ideas on what to do, even
in the means of challenges. It also means that you have a good spiritual
atmosphere that magnet blessings.
Everyone on planet Earth desire to gain financial freedom. God is not really
happy when His people live below standard. Financial freedom is when you have
your three basic needs met, that is food, clothing and shelter, it’s when you’re free
from debt, when your income is better than your expenditure, and when you can
buy what you need at the time you need it. You can enjoy your inheritance in
Christ when you’re a committed and faithful tither.

4. You will enjoy God’s blessings: Still in vs 10: “… and POUR YOU OUT
A BLESSING…”
This world is full of troubles, problems and struggles. All you need is to swim
in God’s blessings, when you’re favoured and graced with God’s blessings will
enjoy life to the fullest. Enjoying God’s blessings is your right as you faithfully
practice the secret of prosperity.
5. Abundant Blessing: Still in vs 10 – “… that there shall not be ROOM
ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT.
If there is a blessing there is abundant blessing, it means your blessing will
be too much that your room or store house will not be enough to contain it. You
will become so blessed that you will extend it to families, people around, and to
nations of the world.
“If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon
the earth…” – Ecc. 11:3A.
Notice one thing that until your cloud be full of rain, you will not enjoy God’s
blessings to the fullest. The fullness of your cloud is tied to your services and
sacrifices in the house of God. Until your services and sacrifices go to God as a
sweet smelling savor, your heaven will not be open. Until a man lives under open
heaven, he will keep struggling all the days of his life.
6. Divine insurance or the destroyers or devourers are destroyed or
devoured: In vs 11 of Malachi 3 – “…I will REBUKE THE DEVOURERS for
your sakes…”
When your life and properties are insured no matter what happened, God
will restore whatsoever you’ve lost. You’re divinely protected when you’re a faithful
thither. To be insured by God is one of the greatest blessings you’ve receive as a
faithful tither. The devourers can be in a human form. I pray for someone that
every human being in form of devourers be rebuked from your life in Jesus name.
Amen.
“But seek you first the kingdom of God and his
righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto
you’’ - Matthew 6:33

 Payment of tithe and offering is part of seeking God first, when you seek
God first all other things will be added unto you.
7. Living above the destroyer of waste: Still in vs 11 – “…and HE SHALL
NOT DESTROY THE FRUITS OF YOUR GROUND’’
The spirit of the destroyers are always around to destroy the works of your
hands through flood, fire accident, hurricane, and so on. But God is in the
business of wasting the wasters. Are the destroyers looking for any loop hole to
enter your life to destroy but your tithe can block the loopholes, and stop them?
Remember,that the seed of every fruit is bitter,and your tithe is the seed of your
fruits[harvest].
8. Enjoying Fruitful Harvest: Still in vs 11- “… neither shall your VINE
CAST HER FRUIT BEFORE THE TIME IN THE FIELD saith the LORD of
hosts”.
This is a deep re-assurance of His promise to faithful tithers, it means that
you’ll work little and harvest much, according to our local language in Nigeria.
“You’ll work like an ant and eat like an elephant”. I quite know that hard work pays
but it’s not a guarantee to enjoying fruitful harvest. Is good to work hard but
enjoying fruitful harvest is all God.
“Therefore The heavens above you withhold the dew , and
the earth withhold its fruit”. - Haggai 1:10

Any man that abandon God’s house will labour hard and have nothing to
show for it. It’s not how much you labour but how much God has favour your
labour. Don’t neglect God’s house, and pursue your own , it’s God first, He is
ready to put holes in your pocket, close your heavens and make the earth hard for
you when you neglect Him and His house (church).
9. All nations shall call you blessed: Imagine, all nations, that is the whole
world will call you blessed, it means that the blessing of the Lord will be so much
that it will become evident to the entire world. Keep on practicing this secret, I
assured you his promise will become real in your life. It’s written; “All nations
shall call you BLESSED:…” Mal. 3:12a.

10. You shall be a delightsome land: Still in vs 12 – “….FOR YE SHALL BE
A DELIGHTSOME LAND Saith the LORD of hosts.”
To be a delightsome land means that you’ll be attractive to men for favour, and
men will be delighted to do business with you . To God you’ll become his peculiar
treasure, He will trust you enough to invest in you His treasures. Can you say to
yourself I’m a delightsome land but if you know you’re not a faithful tither don’t say
it. Ok! .

 CHAPTER FIVE
GREAT BIBLICAL TEACHINGS ON TITHING
“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the
fruit of the tree, is the LORD’s. It is holy to the LORD. – Lev. 27:30.

It’s bad and risky to eat what is holy. See, in the past, the tithe was paid in
terms of fruit of the field, animals from the herd, and others. Tithing forever
connects you to heaven’s economy, when you’re connected to heaven’s economy,
your supply is always guarantee. I cannot guarantee your financial freedom when
you don’t practice this secret. Tithe is a form of worship unto the LORD. Each time
you tithe you’re worshiping God because it’s holy unto the LORD. Let’s look out 8-
great men or people with their great Biblical teachings on the tithe. These great
Biblical teachings are:
1. JESUS. It’s written; Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
For ye pay TITHE of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the
weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: These ought
ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. – Matthew 23:23.
1. Jesus explained to us that if a Christian can’t tithe he is really disobeying
the lesser aspects or smaller part of God’s Rules or Commandments, and
can likely disobey weightier rule.
2. He taught us that even if we fulfill or obey the weightier matters of the law
we must still tithes.
3. He taught us that tithing is so much important to our destiny but not
considered a weighty matter of the law.
4. He taught us that the tithe is compulsory though it’s the lesser aspects of
God’s law.
5. He taught us that payment of tithe is still practice in this era of grace.
2. Abraham - It’s Written; And blessed be the most high God, which hath
delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all –
Genesis 14:20.
“And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold” – Genesis 13:2.

 I pity those that don’t tithe. If Abraham the father of faith practiced this secret
what about you? Your reasons why you don’t pay tithes are meaningless. Look
out what Abraham’s life proof to us:
1. Abraham proves to us that tithing was practiced before the law, that is the
time of Moses.
2. He proves to us that tithes were to be paid to the priests.
3. He proves to us that tithes was not just a law to be obeyed, but a practice that
common sense should teach you.
4. He proves to us that it’s a privilege to pay your tithes
5. He proves that tithes payment gives you more blessings
6. He proves to us that the rich suppose to pay tithes, because Abraham
became very rich.
7. He proves to us that priests/pastors are greater than rich men. A man of God
don’t have to be rich financially to make you rich financially, it’s the word and
anointing he carries that makes riches. Even Paul said; “As poor yet making
many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things” – 2 Corin.
6:10. It’s the word of God that makes riches. When the Bible says that; the
less is blessed of the better” it means that the rich men or men not men of
God whether poor or rich are the less” while the pastors or priests are “The
better” please read Hebrews 7:1-10.
“But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as
an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the
Levites to inherit. – Number 18:24.
2. Moses – And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, thus speak unto
the Levites, and say unto them, when ye take of the children of
Israel the tithes which I have given you from them your inheritance,
then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a
tenth part of the tithe. – Number 18:26.
The tithe is mainly for the Levites. The Pastors are the spiritual Levites of
today. It’s now for the pastor to use his discretion to bless the orphans, less
privilege, and others from the tithe. What were the proves of Moses to us:
1. Moses proves to us that the tithes is for the Priests/Pastors inheritance

 2. He proves to us how the tithe is being used.
3. He proves to us that the tithes belongs to the priests.
4. He proves to us that priests must pay the tithe of tithe.
5. He proves to us that the tithe is primary for the priest’s use.
As tax is to the earthly government so also the tithe is to the heavenly
Government (God). Anybody that don’t pay tithe will make things tight for himself.
Tithe is a means of taking care of the priests and the church.
4. Jacob -
“…and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the
tenth unto thee” – Genesis 28:22b.

If you read from our scripture above from Genesis 28 from vs 1, you will
see how Jacob encounter God in the wilderness when he slept with a stone as
pillow. Jacob’s encounter taught us something about the tithe. What are these
teaches:
1. That only spiritual men that have an encounter with God pays tithe.
2. That the tithe is a means or way of provoking God’s protection.
3. That the tithe is a way of showing appreciation of who God is;
4. That the tithe is a strong covenant of prosperity.
5. That tithing can protect you, your household and substance.
6. That tithing is a way of provoking God’s promises on us.
7. That tithing is a way of challenging God by His word.
“Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new
wine and the oil to the storehouse” – Nehemiah 13:12.

5. Nehemiah – The teachings of Nehemiah taught us from the above

scripture:
1. That God’s work is abandoned when the people refused to pay their tithes.
2. That payment of tithe is a way of encouraging the pastors and singers to do
the work of God to move from one level to another.
3. That payment of tithe helps the work of God to move from one level to
another.

5. That when the people don’t pay their tithes, it makes the pastors to leave
their calling.
6. The Pharisees – The teachings of the Pharisees taught us:
1. That fasting and tithing has similarities
2. That tithing is a form of righteousness

3. That tithing is a form of prayer of petition

4. That payment of tithe should not make you proud.
5. That you can be faithful in paying your tithe, and not please God. Please

read Luke 18:9-14. These were the teaches of these men concerning the
tithe. I believe you saw the teaches of JESUS concerning the tithe. The tithe
did not end with the law. Even Jesus – Grace personified said something
about the tithe. The new testament started from the book of Matthew while
real Christianity started from the book of Acts.
7. Solomon –
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all
thine increase; so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall
burst out with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10.
Let’s see Solomon’s teachings, the great giver concerning the tithe
1. That tithing is the first money to pay from your profit or gross income because
its were first fruits
2. That tithing is a way of worshipping or honouring God.
3. That tithing leads to abundant supply
4. That tithing provokes prosperity unusual
5. That tithing makes you enjoy prosperity to its fullness
8. The Jews –
The Jews (the Israelites) beliefs system has make them different from other
ethnic groups.
If you do a research about the wealth of Jews you will discover that; 20% f
professors at leading universities are Jewish, most scientists that has discovered
things today are Jewish, 45% of the top 40 of the forbes 400 riches Americans are

Jewish, 30% of American Nobel Prize winners in science, and 25% of all
American mobel winners are Jewish, and so.
What’s the foundational secrets of the Jews?

 CHAPTER SIX
WICKED HEART OF NON-TITHERS
“Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the
field bringeth forth year by year.” – Deut. 14:22.

The tithe and offering is spiritual though will do it physically, that is the
mystery of it, you can’t really understand the spiritual significance of it until God
open your eyes. Any time you pay your tithe and give your offerings it goes
straight to your spiritual account in heaven. And it’s your spiritual account that
determines the output of your blessings.
The “Tithe” is from Greek “Dekate” which means the tenth or ten percent of
everything you have. That means, you can tithe from material things or
substances. From Google meaning; Tithe from Hebrew is “Maaser” while Greek is
“Apodkatoo” which ten percent of all your increase. But some leaders say that the
era of tithing has past; that Jesus is the tithe sacrifice for us. Is wrong teachings.
In vs 10 of Mal. 3, it says “… saith the LORD of hosts” it means that the LORD
fights our battles continuously because the word siath means that God is still
saying, it’s a continous past participle in English language. He is still saying until
He comes. It’s the second coming of JESUS that will stop tithing. The word “Host”
in this context “the LORD of host is a symbol of battle”.Tithing is a symbol of
appreciation and worship, a man that doesn’t know how to appreciate will always
experience depreciation. You appreciate to accelerate.I remember a testimony of
a pastor that received some soap as a gift then he tithe from it, that after that
moment, he never lacked soap. Let’s see briefly the 7-types of tithing.
1. Fruits Tithing – Those days they paid tithe from fruits, that was why they
were so much blessed because of their obedience, but these days do we
bother to practice it? Some men are now taking these days of grace for
granted. It’s written;
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of
the tree, is the LORD’s: It is holy unto the LORD. Leviticus 27:30.

 “And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even
of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be
holy unto the LORD.” – Levi. 27:32.

2. Flocks and Herds tithing – Those days they paid tithes from their flocks
and herds, and that made them prospered. In those days their main
occupation were farming in various dimensions. Read please read 2
Chronicles 31:6, Leviticus 27:32.
3. All Profits Tithing – We are admonished to pay tithes from all the profits
you made from all your business. Some persons only tithe from a business.
It’s from all businesses, and from all money that enters your hand either by
labour or favour EXCEPT otherwise.
At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of
thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates
– Deut. 14:28.
4. Smallest Possessions Tithing – No matter how small your profits or
possession is, you should tithe from it. It’s not how small it is, but how
faithful you’re. Start from somewhere if you must get to somewhere. Please
read Matthew 23:23
“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me.”
– Mala. 3:8A.

The day you start robbing God men will start robbing you. By His grace, I’ve
never encountered armed robbering. And I will never encounter them because
God is helping me to be faithful with my tithe.
5. Oil, Wine and Com tithing – Nothing is nothing in the sight of God to the
extend of tithing their oil, wine and com.
Then brought all Judah the tithe of the com and the new wine and the
oil unto the treasuries – Nehe. 13:12.
6. Children Tithing – Do you know that every first child whether male or
female of every families of the earth is suppose to be dedicated to God as a
pastor or deacon or elder in the house of God? Every first child is a tithe in form of

first fruit offering unto the Lord. That is why if you check every first child that reject
God becomes useless or does not do well. Please read Nehe. 10:35-37.

“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes.”

– Mala. 3:11A.
Tithing forever cover you. It’s your protective value in the Spirit realm. It
makes you stand tall in the spirit realm. Tithing has so much power that it can
devour the devourers.
7. Tithe of tithe tithing – There is a tithe of tithe especially when people pay
their tithes in the church, the pastor will remove the tithe of tithe, and pay it to
his/her spiritual head. It’s a principle all pastors must obey if they must prosper in
their ministerial work with God. And it’s written, that if the tithe is used when you
are suppose to pay it, it should be paid with interest. When you eat your tithe you
should pay it with interest. Please read Num. 18:25, 26; Lev. 27:30-31.

“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the
land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s it is holy.”
– Levi. 27:30.

The Tithe is a holy thing, and any pastor that misuse the holy thing becomes
useless. My joy is that no pastor will escape God’s judgment. Everyone will be
judged. The tithe is God’s property, it should be used appropriately, like when the
people bring their tithes to the treasuries the priest remove his allowance to take
care of himself and family if married, and as well as take care of the less
privileged, the widow, widower, orphans, the poor, and the like in his congregation
and beyond. The tithe is for the pastor but the pastor should ensure fair
distribution as God’s manager in His house.
The pastor is not the owner of the church, God is the owner while Jesus is
the head, then the pastor is the manager, and the Holy Ghost is the chief
executive, that is the operator. Tithing has the power to break the yoke of poverty,
and bring you out to limelight. Until you become a faithful tither you can’t be a
high flyer.

 “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
– Acts 20:35D.

An offering is a seed or sacrifice offer to God or deity, it’s offering something

to a personality as defined before. An offering is a free-will but when it comes to
prosperity, you have to make it a must. Men that can offer will always overcome
suffering. Offering can break the yoke of suffering. Jesus has offered himself to
us as eternal sacrifice, He has paid the price but when you’re born into suffering,
you have to make up your mind to break out.
Every family background differs depending on where you’re coming from.
You must keep giving until you see yourself liberated. You should be able to
increase your offering level monthly or quarterly to enjoy incessant flow of God’s
grace.
“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations
that forget God.” – Psalm 9:17.

Some persons even Christians don’t want the church or pastor to prosper,
they kick against church or pastor’s prosperity. And it takes prosperity to
propagate the gospel. Let’s look at the reasons or excuses people give for not
giving their tithes and offerings because of their wicked hearts. These reasons or
excuses are:
1. I’m not working – Some persons felt they’re not working, and for that reason
they will not pay their tithes. As far as you can eat you should learn to tithe.
The truth is that these set of people are not sincere to themselves because
there are two ways money enter your hand: By favour and labour. Even if
you’re not working, money must enter your hand, God will surely use
someone to bless you. You should be able to tithe from any money that enter
your hand. Anybody that doesn’t tithe from money that comes by favour will
hardly tithe from his salary or wages.
2. The money I make in my business or receive as salary or wages is not
enough for me – No matter the level of money that enter your hand, you
should be able to tithe. When you are faithful with the little He has given to

 you, He will increase it. You must tithe from the little so that it will become
enough. God’s hand need to be in your finances to keep increasing.
3. I’d been retired or I’m a pensioner – Some persons that are retired or
pensioned has the mindset that they are not suppose to tithe, even if the
government still gives them some stipends is might for them to
manage.Remember, to be retire is not to get tired. Ok!
“… Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast
more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury.”
– Mark 12:43.
4. I’m a widow or widower or an orphan – When it comes to serving the
Lord there is nothing like who you’re whether you’re window or not, you
should serve Him faithfully. This woman from our text above was a widow
woman that gave her all to the Lord, and that was her last money home and
abroad, though she gave 2 miles then Jesus said to the congregation; this
woman gave the best. All others gave little from their abundance. It’s is not
a rich hand that give but a rich heart.
“God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked
everyday – Psalm 7:11.
5. I mine the one to enrich pastor and the church – People don’t
understand that everyone pays tithe, it’s either you pay it in church or you use the
money in the hospital or police station, and use it for any other unnecessary
thing. When you’re faithful with payment of your tithe, you will be insured against
all plaques. Your tithe is your protective shield. Nobody can help God. Is it a bad
thing for God to use you to enrich the pastor and His church for instance? Mind-
you, your tithe is not to enrich the pastor, because the pastor pays his tithe too.
Your payment of tithe is to help your destiny not the pastor or the church, you’re
not paying your tithe to do anybody good but yourself. If you refuse to pay your
tithe God will always make a way for the pastor and His Church.
God has the capacity to release money from heaven to the pastor as the
manager to manage His church but He put tithe and offering in His word as a
financial principle to enjoying unlimitless prosperity.

6. My salary or wages or profit in my business is too small – You can’t
prosper beyond your thought; your salary or wages is too small is the reason you
should start tithing for God to increase it, you will remain static if you don’t start
with that little in your hand.
It’s written; His LORD said unto him, well done, good and faithful
servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over
many things. Enter into the joy of the LORD. – Matt. 25:23.
When you’re faithful over a few things much will be given to you.
Faithfulness counts when it comes to enjoying God’s abundance, you may not
know how to pray too much but when you’re faithful with your giving life will
prosper beyond measure. There is no evil yoke giving can’t break, where your
prayer stop that’s where your giving starts, until you’re a giver don’t expect
people to give to you.
“Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him
which hath ten talents.” – Matt. 25:28.
Child of God, if you don’t use what you have been given whether money or
gift will be taken from you and given to the one that have much. From scripture;
Matthew 25 from vs 14 to the one that has one and refuse to use it was taken
from him, and giving to the one that has ten (10) talents (money).

7. Tithe ended with the law, in this era of grace we are not suppose to
pay tithe – JESUS came to fulfill the law, and not to destroy it. Jesus never
thought that, in this era of grace, if we want to really analyze scriptures we’re to
pay 20 percent or more than because if in the past is 10 percent then in this era of
grace it should be 20% Ok!
These set of people has this scripture to quote.
It’s written; And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive
the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the
people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out
of the lions of Abraham: Hebrew 7:5

 “… according to the law” was used because the sons of Levi operated in the
law at that time. Mind you, tithe started before the law, the tithe and offering was
not one of the principles JESUS destroyed. Glory!

8. Pastors do use our tithes to live an expensive life – It’s a pity that some
persons want their pastors to live in poverty. One of the people on earth that
should live in the best house, drives the most expensive cars, wear good clothes,
and the like should be pastors because they’re doing the HARDEST work.
Pastoring is a great job, it involves the spiritual, and it’s the spiritual that controls
the physical. It has been proven scientifically that to stand, and preach for 45
mins. Is equivalent to eight (8) hours manual labour.
“Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence,
and given to the poor?” – John 12:5.
Do you know that nobody can really pay a pastor? No matter how much
allowances pastors do receive, whether in millions or not is just an incentive.
Whatsoever you give to a pastor is only an encouragement to what he is doing.
Judas Iscariot from our text above was a thief that was why he said that this
expensive ointment should have been sold, and given to the poor. It’s a lie, he had
an evil motive, you see; even Judas Iscariot that was Jesus’ treasurer doesn’t
want Jesus to smell good and enjoy the smell of the expensive ointment. They’re
many Judas’ today who want their pastor to remain in poverty for life. People are
truly wicked. May God help us.
9. Pastors are crafty and thieves – some persons just believed that pastors
are crafty and thieves, that they cajole people by using the book of Malachi, that
people that don’t pay their tithes are thieves, and incurring curses on their head to
extort money from them when the book of Malachi is in the old testament, when
we are in the new testament.
These set of people are thieves themselves, and are greedy. It’s true that if
you refuse the principle of tithing and offering you’re a thief, and curses will be
upon you. Can I tell you that non-tithers will miss heaven because they’re robbing
God. Do you believe that these set of people that don’t believe in the tithe and
offering are heading towards destructions?

10. Payment of tithe is mainly for the pastors to practiced – The principle of
the tithe and offering is for all, and not only for the priests/pastors. If you look into
Mal. 3:9, it says; You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed me, even this
whole nation.
Do you see that? “this whole nation” the tithe is for everybody, not just for
priests. It’s for all that want to enjoy God’s unlimited blessings to practiced. Thank
you Jesus!
“…These you ought to have done, without leaving the
others undone” – Matt. 23:23.

11. I do use my tithe to help the less privilege, and render other help – No
matter the humanitarian services you are rendering cannot take the place of the
tithe. You’re suppose to pay your tithe in the church or through your pastor
because it’s a Biblical foundational teaching, it belongs to God. Therefore, the
church is a medium through which God receive His money, He is the owner of the
money, He only put the pastor there to help manage it, and ensure fair
distribution. What Jesus said; in Matt. 23:23; is that, don’t do the major and leave
the minor which is the tithe.
Any pastor that is greedy with the money, and not ensuring the judicious use
of the money will be judge by God. Leave him (the pastor) to God, don’t crucify
him. Ok! It’s capital wrong to use your tithe to help the less privilege or poor
except God specifically instruct you or else it belongs to the church.
God is not foolish to have set-up this principle to take care of the church. He
is too big to come down.
12. Since I’ve been paying my tithes there are no financial improvement in
my life – God is not a magician. Magic is different from miracle, that is why
people are deceived today by magicians who are pastors. When you’re really
serving the Lord with your tithe, and all He has blessed you with, there is need to
wait for the manifestations.
“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath
great recompense of reward” – Hebrews 10:35.

 There is great need for patience after you’ve done the will of God, nothing
can take the place of patience. If you’re not patience you’ll become a patient.
Some persons don’t want to wait. Sometimes, if God delay answers to your
prayers is because He wants you to learn patience, He has a better plan for you,
and He wants to make (train) you. Story time is different from glory time, your
story time is a time of waiting why glory time is a time of enjoying answers to your
prayers. Glory!
13. I’m indebted, therefore I will not pay my tithe – Debt should not take the
place of the tithe, it’s even when you’re faithful with the payment of your tithe that
you’ll even come out of debt. I quite know that people are indebted, and living by
mortgage. Mortgage is a special form of secured loan where the purpose of the
loan must be specified to the lender, to purchase assets that must be fixed (not
movable) property such as a house or piece of farm land.
The assets are registered as the legal property of the borrower but the
lender can seize them and dispose off them if they are not satisfied with the
manner in which the repayment of the loan is conducted by the borrower. Once
the loan is fully repaid, the lender loses this right of seizure and the assets are
then deemed to be unencumbered.
When you start using your tithe to pay your debt you’ll start going down,
non-tithing is the way to poverty. I don’t care who is not paying tithe, no matter the
level you’re right now is only heading towards poverty and shame at the end of
the day.
The tithe and offering is a strong principle of prosperity. Our fathers of
faith practiced it, if our fathers of faith practiced it like Abraham, Jacob, Solomon,
and some others. Who are you not to practice it? Well! it’s not a must to fulfill
destiny or make heaven at the end of the day. Thank you.
Givers truly don’t lack. If you’re not faithful with your tithe then you can’t give
sacrificially. The heart of giving is first proven by the heart of tithing.
14. Pastors are liars, since I’ve not been paying my tithes nothing has
happened to me – If really nothing has happened to you check your spiritual life
because when Adam and Eve disobeyed God they became naked in the garden
of Eden. If you’re not a non-tither you’re naked spiritually, that is you are open to

attack any time, any day. I quite agree you don’t tithe but check your life, don’t you
visit the hospital on a weekly and monthly basis, don’t you visit the mechanic to
put your car or cars in order on weekly basis? Don’t you face one problem or the
other? You think it’s normal to go through what you are going through right now.
I know of a man that visit the mechanic shop everyday to repair one thing or
the other in his car because he doesn’t pay his tithe. You think it’s normal, if you
don’t change things will keep going in a wrong direction in your life.Change before
it’s too late.

 CHAPTER SEVEN
WHEN TITHING DOESN’T WORK
In this Chapter; I’m going to be talking about why some persons don’t
prosper despite their faithfulness in tithing. They pay their tithe faithfully yet they
don’t prosper. What is the root cause? It takes all other things put together to
prosper. It is written;
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to his purpose – Romans
8:28
When you tithe make sure you practice all other principles to make all
things work together for you, like before this scripture verse 28 of Romans 8, it
talks about prayer. If you truly love Him you’ll spend time with Him. It takes
everything including tithing to work together for a miracle or success. What
are the reasons why faithful tithers still not enjoy bumper harvest. These reasons
are:
1. Unforgiveness – Some persons don’t prosper beyond measure as a result
of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is a secret cankerworm, it gives the devil upper
hand in your life because a loop hole will be created as a result of it.
“For the wages of sin is death.” – Romans 6:23.

Unforgiveness is a deadly sin that can rupture your future and put you in
bondage.
Unforgiveness is the inability not to forgive. Is a cross in the mind not to let
go of what men did to you. There is nobody that has never be offended, no matter
the hurt forgive because if you don’t forgive men their trespasses God will never
forgive you. I quite know that there are some hurt that leave you with scars, still let
go, if you don’t let go you may not go far, and fulfill a destiny.
Do you know that unforgiveness can hinder you from making heaven?
There are scars of unforgiveness you can never forget or it may take time to
forget but whenever you remember don’t react. You can’t forgive and forget
immediately, it will take time, you remember doesn’t mean you’ve not forgiven the
person. You remember because you are human. We’re not hundred percent God.

 John the Baptist was offended in JESUS that was why he loose his defence,
offence will make you loose defence when your defence or covering is gone any
thing bad or attack can happen to you. Forgiveness is not really easy but you just
have to let go. Please, don’t ever hold grudges or keep malice against anybody, it
will hinder your prayers, let go. OK!
“And Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in
me” –Matt. 11:6.

I want to let you know that offences will surely come your way. Teeth and
tongue do offend each other at times, brothers and sisters do too, and even best
of friends. Offence is certain, always expect it from people, even yourself can
offend yourself. One time Peter ask JESUS how many times will my brother
offend me that I will forgive him? JESUS CHRIST told him; seventy times seven
(70x7) which is equal to (=) four hundred and ninety times (490). It’s not possible
for one person to offend you four hundred and ninety times (490) a day, Jesus
Christ said, if it happened that way still forgive. You should forgive all the time.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my
brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Jesus
saith unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times; but, until
seventy times seven. Matt. 18:21, 22.
Don’t expect forgiveness from God, and even men when you don’t forgive
men their trespasses, forgiveness is a seed you sown to reap tomorrow. Please,
live in the realm of forgiveness to enjoy God’s hand of protection. Hallelujah!
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors”
–Matt. 6:12.

JESUS taught His disciples, as well as teaching us today to forgive our

debtors. It’s certain that people will hurt you. There are Biblical examples from
scriptures who were seriously hurt but still let go, like:
1. Joseph from Genesis 37 – He was molested and sold out by his brethren,
they almost killed him but God spare his life for a purpose yet he forgave them
with tears running down his check.

 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by
him; and he cried, … And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth
my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were
troubled at his presence. – Genesis 45:1,3.
2. David – David forgave Saul despite how he tried to kill him many times,
about 21 times when he had the opportunity to kill him. Can you do that? You
know this person one to kill you, and you now have the opportunity to kill him,
won’t you? What a forgiveness?
So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul’s bolster; and they
gat them away and no man saw it, or knew it, neither awaked for they were all
asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them. 1 Samuel
26:12.
“But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in
heaven forgive your trespasses –Mark 111:26.

3. Stephen – When Saul, who was later called Paul ordered some men to
stone Stephen to death for the sake of the gospel, Stephen prayed for them, like
this; God do not laid this sin on them. He was already seeing the heavens
opened, about to be receive by JESUS in the cloud. It was the prayer of Stephen
that saved them. Especially, Saul who was latter called Paul the apostle. No
matter the hurts pray for them, it can save them.
And said, “look! I see the heavens opened and the son of man
standing at the right hand of God!” and they cast him out of the
city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at
the feet of a young man named Saul. – Acts 7:56, 58.
4. JESUS – Before the death of Jesus, He cried with a loud voice, Father!
Forgive them for they don’t know what they’re doing. This was the greatest
statement of forgiveness and love because He came to die for us. His purpose on
earth were fulfilled. Glory!
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they
do” And they divided His garments and cast lots. Luke 23:34.

 Only Jesus can pray this kind of prayer because He came to die us, you
didn’t come to die for anyone. Anyone that want to stand on your way to limelight
shall be consume by the fire of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. shout Amen! This
same Bible says; pray for your enemy without giving us prayer points. Please
read, Matt. 5:44 and Luke 19:27.

2. Quarrelling in relationships – Quarrelling is the enemy strategy to stop

God’s flow of blessings into your life, and it also create loop holes for the serpent
to bite. Whether quarrel in marriage, business, ministry, and what have you.
Quarrel can hinder prayers, that was why Jesus Christ said before you drop
anything on the altar, you should go settle with your brother or sister before you
come, and drop your gift on the altar. Please read, Matt.5:23,24.
To be angry against anyone is not bad, what is bad here is when you allow
the day break on it. It’s written;
“Be you angry, and do not sin’ do not let the sun go down on your
wrath –Eph. 4:26.
Likewise you husbands, dwell with them with understanding, giving
honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the
grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. - 1 Peter 3:7.

3. When your services and sacrifices do not commensurate your

expected harvest except by his mercy – Don’t leave the weightier matter when
you’ve fulfilled the minor matter. From our text above, this king of Moab sacrifice
his son that would have reigned in his stead to his own god not the God of the
heavens and earth. God turned against His people when He saw the sacrifice of
the blood of his son on the wall.
You need to serve Him with your time and money, and every other things.
And in the real sense, whatsoever you have is not yours, it’s God’s. if you don’t
sacrifice it to Him through His church, who else? Your services and sacrifices in
the house of God is your voice in the realm of the Spirit. Don’t serve God only with
your tithes. To some persons, if they can only pay their tithes that is the end,
pastor should not tell them any other financial obligation. Your tithe is not enough

to fulfillment of your destiny. Well! It’s not a must to fulfill destiny, if you feel your
tithe is enough, no problem! Since you don’t want to change. Anybody the word of
God can’t change, is a witch or wizard.
4. When you are taken away with negative confessions after you’ve paid
your tithe - Negative confessions can hinder your bumper harvest or showers of
blessings. The devil is very crafty, he can do anything to stop your bumper
harvest. That is why the Bible says; nor give place to the devil. You must dare live
the faith filled life. Your faith is your backbone, it’s your spinal cord, is your stirring
rod, and so on.
Negative confessions goes with murmuring and complaining. God hates
murmuring and complaining, He killed thousands of the children of Israel in the
wilderness when they complained and murmured against Him, and His servant –
Moses. The devil knows that it’s bad, that is why he will do everything for you to
murmur against GOD and your pastor, and the church in general. Learn to cast
down or pull down every stronghold of negative thoughts in your mind and heart
when it comes, don’t allow it take root in your heart. God wants you to have His
word in your heart. Number one thing God wants you to have is His word in your
spirit. Every other things are only additions. Praise God! Please read Numbers
21:4-6, 14:2, 29, 16:41.
5. When you’re not patience with God – When you’re not patience with God,
then you can do anything outside Him to meet your needs. When you’ve pay your
tithe, and do the necessary things you are suppose to do then you’ve to be
patience with God to manifest in your life. Scriptures says “… through faith and
patience men inherit the promises of God in their lives.” Hebrews 6:12.
I see sixty percent of men in the world today are too in a hurry to manifest.
Don’t try to reign on your own, stay with Him in the secret for in due season He
will make you reign to the ends of the world. Patience means working while
waiting, you don’t fold your hands when waiting on the Lord.
6. When you have wrong motive of why you want God to answer you –
It’s your motive behind what you do that matters.
“For the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions
are weighted’ – 1 Samuel 2:3B.

 God weighed actions. Sometimes, what may not be right in the sight of men
may be right in God’s sight. What’s your motive behind your payment of the tithe.
Some pay tithes because they want to be protected, healed, provided for, and the
like but you should tithe because you love the LORD.
7. When your tithe is rejected – When your tithe is rejected by God it
becomes unacceptable. God does not accept all offerings and tithes, though tithe
is a form of offering. In scripture, Genesis 4:1-4, Abel’s offering was accepted
while Cain’s offering was unaccepted. Abel’s offering was accepted because;
1. He gave his offering from a sincere heart
2. He gave his offering by faith (Heb. 11:4).
3. He gave his firstlings (first fruit offering) which is a form of the tithe
4. He gave the fattest rams to God. God does not accept all tithes and offerings
in the church, that is why some don’t prosper despite their sacrifices in giving. It’s
a rich heart that gives, not a rich hand. A man can have 10 million in his account,
and not give you anything when you ask him, he can even tell you that he has not
eaten for the past three days but a man that has a rich heart can go borrow to
give. It’s a pity that so many Christians are stingy, they believe that when they
give they are helping the church and the pastor.
Dear, whatsoever you give or do in God’s house you’re simply helping your
destiny. And whatsoever you give or do in God’s house don’t complain because
any time you complain you’ve succeed cooking your seeds, and cooked seeds
don’t grow.
“And the LORD had respect unto Abel and his offering”
– Genesis 4:4B.
If you want to keep enjoying God’s blessings and favour, you should be able
to ask yourself certain questions like; Are my tithes and offerings accepted by
God? Are mine really giving my best? What is God saying about my tithes and
offerings? Are mine really giving my complete tithe? And so on. But in the case of
Abel God had respect on him and his offering. What a testimony God had about
Abel? Let’s me share with you some testimonies about the tithes and offerings.
These testimonies begins with mine, it goes like this;

1. I was born without a spoon, struggled to go to school, worked in different
places, was once a manager of a firm, was also once a tutor and school secretary,
and also a principal of a school, and eventually answer the call of God on my life
as a full time minister of the gospel for the past 8 years though I’ve been
preaching this gospel for 24 years right from teen age as at when this book was
written. I became the evangelism leader in my secondary school fellowship. I
started life from a humble beginning, then my tithe was two hundred naira (N200)
equivalent to 1 dollar 50 cent. Some persons believe that you can’t prosper in a
genuine way. I didn’t prosper through corruption or fraud or any other means. God
is my source, and remain my source till the end. People do ask me, even pastors.
What is your secret? The truth is that God is my secret and source. I’m only
playing my part. One of my secret is this book – The tithe and offering. God is
helping me to be faithful in tithing and offering, and some other kingdom
principles. The tithe and offering is my foundational secret. I’ve been practicing it
for many years now. The tithe and offering is the foundational secret of all round
prosperity. If you must experience all-round prosperity, you must practice this
principles of the tithe and offering.
“Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven”
– Psalm 19:89.
2. God gave me (Mama Judith Scott-Aluya) a revelation in a ministry some
years ago of which I was one of the prayer warriors. The revelation is this; a sister
had an accident, and died. Thank God for my pastor that have understanding, he
turned that Sunday service to prayer blast. It happened that the following day a
sister in our church called Sis. Fidelia traveled to get some goods at Onitsha,
Anambra State, Nigeria. As they traveled their vehicle had an accident and many
of the passengers died, and they were about carrying her to the mortuary, when
her hands moved then they knew she was not dead but was under coma.
However, after some time in the hospital undergoing treatment, she woke up
to consciousness that was when she narrated all that she saw. She said; she saw
herself in a law court, that a man on white – an angel was pleading on her behalf
that she cannot died now because she is a faithful tither. Her tithing lifestyle saved

her and brought her back to life. Till date the sister is still alive as at when this
book was written. Did you see that your tithe is a weapon in the Spirit realm?
3. A brother had a misunderstanding with his pastor in a ministry, then he told
his pastor to calculate all the tithe he has been paying in the church. The pastor
has to obey him to avoid being taken to court. The day the pastor gave him the
money, he had an accident and died at the spot on his way traveling. It’s a pity
that some persons thought that the church is a personal business, and not God’s
business. The tithe is God’s. God bless you real good.
