Q1.A simply supported beam AB of span 10m is loaded as shown in figure. Calculate the
reactions at A and B. (10)

Q2.Determine the force in each member of truss using method of joint shown in figure. (10)

Q3.A body of weight 500N is pulled up along the inclined plane having an inclination of 30⁰
with the horizantal. If the coefficient of friction between the body and the plane is 0.3 and the
force applied parallel to inclined plane , determine the force required. (10)

Q4.Find the centroid of the shaded area as shown in the figure. (10)
Q5.Two cable AB and CB are tied together at B. It is loaded by a weight of 100 N as shown in
the Fig.(a). Determine the Tensions in the cable AB and CB and draw the FBD. (10)
