Lab 3: VisionView and EasyView Lab

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

 Create a user interface in EasyView


 Display interface on VisionView

IN-SIGHT FUNCTIONS USED:

 Easy Builder User Interface Application Step 3


– Communication
 EasyView

PROCEDURE:

1. Load MySequence.job from the previous lab


2. Click on the “Communication” application step.

3. Click “EasyView”.

4. Click on Insert Label

5. Change Caption from “Label” to “Spice Inspection”. Then click “Add…”

6. Expand the “Brightness” tool and select “Brightness”, “Composite_Region”,
“Maximum”, and “Minimum”.
1. Make sure you have selected the checkboxes

7. Select “Add” and then “OK”. Arrange the selections so the Maximum appears
above Brightness, Minimum appears below Brightness, and Composite Region
appears at the bottom. Rename the captions to something more intuitive. Your
screen should look similar to below:

8. Repeat steps 4 – 7 to add more items from the multiple steps you create in the
previous lab.
9. To see the EasyView interface, we will use the PC demo version of VisionView.
There should be a link to it on your desktop

10. In EasyBuilder, disconnect from your camera

11. Launch the VisionViewPC Demo. If not already selected, you will need to choose
a language and then select “OK”

12. Choose “Manually Select Sensors”

13. Select “Remove All” if there are sensors to the right.

14. Then select your sensor and press “Add”

15. Your sensor should appear on the right. Press “OK”

16. Now press “Run”

17. You should now see the EasyView and the image under your camera

18. If you press “Composite Region”, then you can adjust the region for the
Brightness tool. Press OK when done.

19. Spend some time clicking on the different buttons and areas of the VisionView
demo application.

20. Save the job as MyEasyView.job onto the In-Sight camera.
