Baking Sheet Cake Pan

Custard Cup Pastry Bag

Oven
Their Uses:

Baking Sheet - A sheet pan, baking tray or baking sheet is a flat, rectangular
metal pan used in an oven. It is often used for baking bread rolls, pastries and flat
products such as cookies, sheet cakes, Swiss rolls and pizzas.

Cake Pan - Cake pans can be round, square, or rectangular and are available in
several sizes. Probably the most popular is the 9 x 13 x 2 inch rectangular cake
pan that is used to bake cakes, bars, and savory dishes, such as lasagna.

Custard Cup - a heat-resistant cup of porcelain or glass in which an

individual custard is baked.

Pastry Bag - a funnel-shaped container for holding soft food mixtures (as
mashed potatoes, icing, or whipped cream) from which the foods are forced
through a pastry tube at the tip in making ornamental spreads or decorations

Oven - An oven is a thermally insulated chamber used for the heating, baking, or
drying of a substance, and most commonly used for cooking. Kilns and furnaces
are special-purpose ovens used in pottery and metalworking, respectively.
 Cutting Tools

Bread Slicer Dough Cutter

Grater Pizza Slicer

Serrated Knife
Their Uses:

Bread Slicer - The bread slicer is an equipment designed to cut bakery products
already prepared (cooked) into several slices automatically, replacing the manual
use of kitchen utensils. It consists of: Spaced blades in several standard
dimensions, proceeding to a graph cut.

Dough Cutter - A dough cutter is a tool used by bakers to manipulate dough and
to clean surfaces on which dough has been worked. It is generally a small sheet of
stainless steel (approximately 3"×5" or 8 cm × 13 cm) with a handle of wood,
plastic, or simply a roll in the steel blade along one of the long sides.

Grater - a device having a surface covered with holes edged by slightly raised
cutting edges, used for grating cheese and other foods.

Pizza Slicer - A pizza cutter (also known as a roller blade, a powerslicer, or a pizza
wheel) is a utensil that is used to cut pizzas.

Serrated Knife - A serrated edge is jagged. When a knife is described as having

a serrated blade, its edge is lined with small teeth, similar to a saw's. It will cut
tomatoes, bread, and meat more effectively than a smooth-edged blade.
 Measuring Tools

Dry Measuring Cups Liquid Measuring Cups

Measuring Spoons Oven Thermometer

Weighing Scale
Their Uses:

Dry Measuring Cup - A dry measuring cup is used for measuring solid cooking
ingredients like flour, sugar, oats, etc. Dry measuring cupsare made from plastic
or metal and sets usually include 1 cup, 1/2 cup 1/3 cup and 1/4 cup.

Liquid Measuring Cup - A vessel used specifically for measuring liquids. Liquid is
poured into the cup up to the appropriate graduated marker on the side of the
cup. Clear glass or plastic measuring cups are easiest to use. When measuring
liquids, fill the measuring cup with your liquid and hold the cup at eye level to
check the amount. Make sure you hold the cup "level".

Measuring Spoon - A measuring spoon is a spoon used to measure an amount of

an ingredient, either liquid or dry, when cooking. Measuring spoons may be made
of plastic, metal, and other materials. They are available in many sizes, including
the teaspoon and tablespoon.

Oven Thermometer - A utensil used to check the temperature of the oven so the
reading can be compared to the temperature set on the oven dial. With
the use of an Oven Thermometer, temperatures can be checked to insure it
remains consistent throughout the baking or roasting time.

Weighing Scale - A kitchen device used to measure the weight of ingredients and
other food. Kitchen scales are available in balance or spring models. A balance
scale will give a more accurate reading than a spring scale. Using a scale will result
in a more accurate measurement of the ingredients than by measuring it by
volume.

Mixing Bowl Rolling Pin

Wooden Spoon
Their Uses:

Basting Brush - A pastry brush, also known as a basting brush, is a cooking

utensil used to spread butter, oil or glaze on food. Traditional pastry brushes are
made with natural bristles or a plastic or nylon fiber similar to a paint brush, while
modern kitchen brushes may have silicone bristles.

Egg Beater - a kitchen utensil used for beating ingredients such as eggs or cream.

Mixing Bowl - is a deep bowl that is particularly well suited for mixing ingredients
together in. These come in many materials, such as stainless steel, ceramic, glass,
and plastic.

Rolling Pin - a cylinder rolled over pastry or dough to flatten or shape it.
