All personnel involved in the handling, storage, issuance and use

responsibilities.
The procedure has provided details on how welding consumables are
controlled by the following but not limited to:
a. Storage requirements -prior to issuance

b. Material controller- for issuance
c. Requestor/User -- receiving of consumables
d. Return of un-used consumables
Provide a Flow chart to show the mechanism for control of welding

consumables.
The procedure shall contain the relevant forms to use in documenting and
B4 monitoring the control of welding consumables. Best Practice
(NOTE: Suggested forms are SATR-W-2009 & SATR-W-2010 )

C Control of Handling, Storage & Conditioning


Procedure contains the instruments and equipment that will be used for SAES-W-011,

storing, handling and conditioning of welding consumables. Para. 6.2
The procedure shall provide details on how consumables are to be stored SAES-W-011,

and conditioned. (Refer to SAES-W-011, Table 1 & 2) Para. 6.2
The procedure shall provide requirements for handling of consumables in

Items indicated as "Best Practice" are recommendations. Contractor, SAPMT & PID should decide and agree to adopt or provide an equivalent that
will then be incorporated in the project quality plan. On acceptance by all parties, they become mandatory for implementation.
