This document provides instructions for a factoring book project. FACTORING BOOK PROJECT

Instructions:
Create a colorful and creative booklet explaining each of the five methods used to factor
different types of polynomials:

1. Greatest common factor


2. Grouping
3. Difference of two squares (Dots)
4. Trinomials
5. Tricky trinomials

Each factoring method will contain two parts:


1. The explanation of how that type of factoring is performed
2. Three examples of that type of factoring with the correct answers

Guidelines:
1. Notebook paper cannot be used to make the booklet; colorful paper is encouraged.
2. Put your name and title on the front cover.
3. The project will be graded on creativity, neatness, the cover, explanations of factoring,
and accuracy of examples.
4. The project WILL NOT be accepted any later than Monday, 10/13/14 for Period 3 and
Tuesday, 10/14/2014 for Period 2.
5. Use your time wisely!
