Examination pattern followed in Grade III to V and VI to VIII:

I. 1. For Grade III & IV: The entire academic year is categorized by 4 Unit Exams.
a. Final & Half Yearly examination is not be conducted in Grade III & IV.
b. Each Unit Test for each subject will be 20 Marks only.
2. 20 Marks are allotted for internal assessment. The weightage of internal assessment is further
divided as given below:
i. 5 Marks for timely and regular submission of C.W. and H.W. assignment.
ii. 5 Marks for subject enrichment, such as Multiplication Table in Mathematics, Reading
recitationwith proper intonation in languages etc.
iii. 5 marks for activities/projects.
iv. 2 marks for neatness and proper maintenance of notebooks/Project reports etc.
v. 3 marks for attitudes towards subjects.
II. 1. a. In Grade V entire academic year will have 4 unit exam and final exam at the end of the year.
b. Each unit test for each subject will be for 20 marks only.
c. The Final exam for each subject will have weightage of 50 marks.
2. 20 marks are allotted for internal assessment bases on same criteria as mentioned for Grade III
& IV.
3. The final for Grade V will be prepared as follows:
30% of all unit test + 20% of internal assessment+50% of final exam i.e.,(30+20+50=100)
III. 1. For Grade VI to VIII:
The annual examination will be conducted comprising the entire syllabus & will be of 80 marks.

 2. Internal assessment will be of 20 marks for the instructions are as follows:

Grading Scale for Scholastic Areas

Grade are awarded on a 8-point grading scale as follows:

The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork be the generic criteria for grading in the
following co-scholastic activities.

III. Discipline: Term-I[ On a 3-point(A-C) grading scale]: The students will also be assessed for the discipline
which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for
rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.

III. Discipline (Attendance, Sincerity, Behaviour, Values)
Class Teacher will be responsible for grading the students on a Five-Point Grading Scale (A-E).

The Internal assessment comprising 20 marks (10+5+5) entails objectivity and a structured approach. For a
holistic assessment, the teachers are expected to make it an effective tool.

Documentation:- Records pertaining to the internal assessment of the students done by the schools will be
maintained for a period of three months from the date of declaration of the result.
Note:- Final Marks of internal assessment will be awarded in 1st Week ofFebruary 2020 for class IX and 4th Week of
January 2020.
