I.1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Cat 4 Cash Jackpot System (C4C JS) is a jackpot (JP) system with four
levels of Cat 4 Cash Multi-Level Progressive Jackpot, which includes machines
with Cat 4 Cash series games, jackpot server (Premium Progressive Controller),
display modules - jackpot (JP) panels or external displays (TVs), controlled by
Media Control Center and jackpot server setup module (setup program).
Ethernet interface is used to connect the separated system modules to the
system. The connected in the network С4С gaming machines participate in
accumulation and distribution of jackpot winnings in real time. This system
configuration may be used within one casino or gambling hall.
The jackpot server responds for the connection with the machines, the
display module(s) and setup program, and controls the jackpots.
The display module responds only for visualization of the jackpots and
another information. Display module includes JP panel and control computer Media
Control Center (MCC), which is built into the panel. According to the customer’s
wish, TV receiver can be used instead JP panel. In this case, MCC is mounting
externally to the TV.

INTRODUCTION

ІІ.6. SYSTEM OPERATION

The jackpot server receives the current bets, placed in the machines,
calculates the current jackpots levels and sends them periodically to all participants
in the jackpot network.
When a given machine (game) wins a jackpot level, this machine sends a
message to the jackpot server and waits for the winning amount from the server.
The machine is locked with a error if it does not receive confirmation about the
winning from the server .
When a jackpot level is reach and there is a winning the server sends a
notification to the display module (s) and recalculates the new current amount.
At setup the server receives:
 List of machines connected to the jackpot network and their parameters;
 Jackpots parameters;
 Display modules parameters;
The machine which is not in the server list can not to be connected to the
jackpot network.

JACKPOT SERVER
ІІ.7. PPC CLEAR
Jackpot server is reset by compact flash clear “PPC_NVRAM_DB_Clear”,
which is put on the game compact flash card place. In this way all settings and set
parameters and all saved events in NVRAM and Data Base memory are reset.
1. Connect the SATA flash memory card properly and fix it in Cn2 slot on the
controller board.
2. Put the compact flash card (CF) “PPC_NVRAM_DB_Clear” in J4 slot on the
controller board to clear the server memory and data.
3. Power on the PPC and await until the LED indicator “Activity” on the PPC box
starts blinking.

4. The LED indicator “Activity” blinks slowly in “normal” mode in 1s if the

procedure is finished successfully and data and server memory are cleared.
5. The LED indicator “Activity” is blinked fast in “error” mode in 250 ms if the
procedure is not finished successfully.

In case of 5. (the procedure is finished with an error), power off the controller
