SCHOOL ORIENTATION ON THE COMPREHENSIVE WATER SANITATION
AND HYGIENE IN SCHOOL (WINS) PROGRAM
To: All Teachers
1. In consonance to DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2016 and in support for the promotion of correct
hygiene and sanitation and practices among school children and clean environment in and
around schools to keep learners safe and healthy, there will be an orientation on May 23,
2019 at the Grade 1 classroom
2. The following are the objectives of the School Orientation:
a. Ensure correct knowledge and understanding among learners on effective hygiene
and sanitation project.
b. Improve equitable access to safe water, adequate toilet, and washing facilities
c. Improve hygiene sanitation practice among learners to enable them to develop life-
long positive hygiene and sanitation behaviors
d. Ensure that classroom and surroundings are kept and safe through school based
solid waste management, proper drainage, the elimination of breeding grounds for
mosquitoes to prevent vector-borne disease and food sanitation.
3. The School Orientation will be managed by MS. RACHEL M. PASCUA, Teacher 3
WINS Coordinator and DRRM Coordinator who attended the District Seminar on
Comprehensive Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in School (WINS) Program.
4. Enclosed are the list of Resource Speaker and Facilitators indicated in the Training Matrix
of the Orientation.
5. Dissemination on the content of this memorandum is desired.
