• Built and leveraged a statewide and national media network for partnership and distribution opportunities
• Coordinated in-kind partnerships with media for the 2018 Texas Tribune Festival, facilitated press on-site
• Managed a sprawling network of community contacts for promotion/marketing of Texas Tribune events and content

• Scoured open records requests and collected information for a year-long project on Texas state government employees
• Authored primary and runoff election coverage of statewide and local races and well as other daily reporting

• Pursued a variety of stories that exposed me to reporting on court cases, FEC reports, government spending and tax reform
• Met and established a web of sources while learning about a wide range of subjects necessary for Capitol Hill reporting

• Planned each day’s news content and coordinated with editors and reporters to ensure accurate, relevant journalism

• Researched legislative procedures and policies to write multiple articles a week on legislation impacting students and the university
