Elocution competition
Good morning dear Judges, teachers and
my dear friends present here. I am mast. Isaac Nial and I will be your compere for this elocution competition.

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls.
An elocution is the art of speaking. Today
we have 19 participants to battle it out in the elocution arena. But before that we would like introduce our judges.
1) Ms Lira Rodrigues, who is from our
Higher Secondary and got her M.A and B.ed. She has been teaching for the past 25 years. Her hobbies are Gardening, music and reading. Give a round of applause. 2) Ms Grisel Zuzarte, who is an English and French teacher at the H.S. Her hobbies are jewelry making, travelling and designing. Give a round applause. 3) Mrs. Clency D’silva, who teaches English and geography in our school. Her hobbies are Dancing, gardening, singing and Creativity. Give another round of applause.
The topics for this elocution competition
are:
1) India of my Dreams. 2) Is our present education system job oriented? 3) Social media a boon or a bane?
To acquaint our contestants and our
judges with the rules, here they are: 1) The speeches will be in English 2) The maximum time duration for the speech is 4 minutes 3) There will be a warning bell at the end of the 3rd minute and the final bell at 4 minutes. 4) The qualifying time is 2 and a half minutes. 5) Students exceeding 4 minutes will receive 5 minus points. 6) The decision of our judges will be final and binding.
The judging criteria are based on:
Content-10 points
Diction-10 points
Performance in Body language-10 points.
Voice modulation-10 points
