NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL SESSION FOR

THE MONTH OF JULY,2019

Victoria Elementary School conducted a series of SLAC on ICT Literacy Training

Cum Workshop and the SLAC Manager for this month which aims to equip teachers in the
maximum and better use of ICT for teaching and learning and various role in supporting the
DepEd Information System.

This month’s SLAC activities aim to raise the ICT literacy of school head and
teachers in order to perform job roles related to teaching and school administration and to
prepare teachers to become users of various ICT to help both the students and themselves
benefit from technology.

Since the SLAC is activity – based, some teachers were a bit hesitant due to limited
knowledge on the topics presented. But because of their perseverance and willingness to
learn, all activities were done.

The first session of SLAC was focused on expectation setting, workshop objectives
and ICT4E wherein members of the SLAC team were ask to answer the following questions:

1. For me, ICT literacy is …

2. A concern I have about this training/workshop is …
3. After this workshop, I hope I will come away with…
4. The questions I would like to answer during this training/workshop are…

The second session was on Interactive Quiz making using PowerPoint presentation.
This workshop was loved by the members because it aims to motivate and trigger the minds
of the learners.

Poster making using publisher was done next. The problem during the workshop was
there was no available internet connection that would help the members in downloading
pictures/images needed in their poster.
The desire to learn excel was seen in the members because they know how important
it is especially in computation for grades, graph making and analysis. Everybody was so
cooperative during the workshop.

Truly, SLAC sessions are avenue not only to learn but also a time to be with other
members of the school to collaborate and fulfil the vision and the mission of the department
we are in.

Essentially, learning means a change in your thinking, a change in your feeling, a

change in your behaviour. Learning means that change in the mind, in the emotion, and in the
will.
