Job Description
Opening for Unix System Administrator, Bangalore location.
Essential Skills : Linux (RHEL), Solaris
Tools : Vistara
Desirable Skills : Storage - SAN, NAS, VMware, AWS, Cent OS
Experience : 3 to 6 years
Shift Type : Rotational shift
Certifications : RHCE, SCSA

Job Responsibilities

 Hands-on experience with the complete patch management lifecycle including testing,
deploying, troubleshooting missing patches and patch issues, etc. utilizing the change
management process and patch management and automation tools necessary to ensure
compliance and successful audits.
 3-4 years of experience supporting RedHat Linux, Oracle Linux Operating System.
 2-3 years of experience supporting Solaris 10 Operating System environments.
 1-2 years of experience supporting Solaris 11 Operating System environments.
 Remote administration using consoles like DRAC, SP, SC, etc.
 Responsible for keeping management up to date on any outstanding production related
issues.
 Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and IP addressing concepts.
 Knowledge of SAN and NAS Storage technologies will be an added advantage.
 Document and update Manual Operating Procedures (MOPs).
 Must have very good verbal and written communication skills, should be able to
participate in conference calls with international customers if required.
 Should possess at least one certifications rom RHCE (RedHat) or SCSA (Solaris).

Hardware Platforms:
 Should have hands-on experience troubleshooting server class hardware mainly HP
C7000 & C3000 Chassis, HP BladeSystem ProLiant Servers, HP BladeSystem Interconnects.
 Thorough knowledge of concepts like server Kickstarting, PXE boot, Clustering, RAID and
Storage technologies
Desired Candidate Profile
Education : Any Graduate / Any Postgraduate / B.E.
