Job Description – Technical Advisor

SUMMARY
With a worldwide workforce of over 400 people, EBC Brakes is an independently owned and managed
leader in the brake market. EBC Brakes produce the largest range of brake pads and brake discs in the
world, with over 25,000 part numbers for every type of moving vehicle. EBC Brakes are made in one of
two specialist factories in the UK and USA. As a rapidly expanding and proactive Company we have the
opportunity for a technical advisor to join the team.

Working within the technical team you will support our customers and colleagues with any
technical inquiries. Knowledge of the parts aftermarket is useful, preferably in automotive and
motorcycle.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Resolving technical parts inquiries via telephone, email and internal communications by
various methods
2. Updating technical notes and advising relevant department on any fitment changes
3. New product development and fitment testing
4. Working closely with the new project R&D team to overcome problems relating to new
products.
5. Any other task as assigned by your line manager.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

1. A knowledge of automotive and motorcycle parts and the industry


2. Must be able to demonstrate a good level of automotive and/or motorcycle knowledge
essential
3. Confidence in using Microsoft Excel including; sorting, formulas (e.g. VLOOKUP) to analyse
detailed data, training will be provided if necessary
4. Ability to read simple engineering drawings is useful but training can be given
5. Excellent communicator with a high level of customer services skills
6. Self-motivated, and have a proactive approach to their work and the ability to work to
targets and deadlines
7. Organised , methodical and a keen eye for detail.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Your principle place of work will be at EBC Brakes World HeadQuarters, a brand new state of the art
facility with modern offices and comfortable working conditions.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.


Hours of Work:

Ideally, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 16.30 with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break and Friday
7.30- 15.30 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, however, hours are negotiable.

28 days annual leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays

Corporate wear provided

Free on Site parking.
