BUS TERMINAL

- Intro of the project :


Transportation is one of the most important requirements for the aid of communication from one place to other for visiting purpose or
in the sense of tourism. a number of factors like the convenience from one place to the other, promotion of tourism, for communication
between places etc. have predicted the importance of planning such as roadways industries in the assents of bus terminals.
Transportation system improves the social, economic, industrial and commercial progress and further transforms the society into an
organized one. it is one of the essential services, vital force for determining the direction of development. to achieve the desired
transportation balance and for the system to be efficient, it is essential to provide organized facilities in the system.
As transportation is concerned with the movement between origin and destination involves the movement of people and goods,
Currently there is need to redevelop the existing bus terminal.

- SANAND PROFILE:
Sanand is a satellite town of AHMEDABAD, it has adjacent villages like godhavi, kaneti, Nidhrad on its outskirts. The population of
Sanand and its adj. villages combined is almost 1.2 lakhs people. It is projected to have an increase in population ,almost 4 times its
current population in next 7-10 years. So when the population increases the need for transport will also increase, As the current S.T.
stand is small, a new and bigger Bus Station is required to be built.

- Location of the Project :


Sanand S.T. bus stand is located at the core of the Sanand town. Adjacent to Sanand gamtad and adj. to bhhadreti lake at Sanand. The
density of the town is growing year after years as there are more and more migrants and visitors coming to Sanand town.

AIM AND OBJECTIVE SITE –

The aim is to Redevelop the current existing Bus Station with bigger public areas ( waiting, exploring) and larger bus parking spots.

- OBJECTIVE
To critically review the existing concerns and problems of the existing bus station
To identify Visitors expectations which will influence our current vision on how we see bus station for a fast growing town as an urban
project
To discuss the implication of visitors expectation and make design recommendation to the government.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

- SCOPE
The scope of the project will be designing an exceptional Landmark , which will be connected to the whole population of a satellite
town (SANAND)

- LIMITATIONS
The limitation of the project will be the increase in the bus movement at the core of the town, which can lead to traffic at office hours.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION 1)WORKSHOP DATA


- Total 45 buses are working from Sanand bus station.
- A workshop is a place where all the buses are inspected for any possible faults in the
