q7 Handbrake Adjust

The document provides instructions for adjusting the parking brake on all vehicle models with basic or ceramic brakes. The parking brake should be adjusted when new parking brake shoes, rear brake discs, or Bowden cables are installed, or if excessive free play is detected. The adjustment is made by turning an adjustment nut through a screw plug hole until the brake shoes make contact with the brake drum, then backing it off 6 clicks to allow free rotation of the brake disc. After adjustment, the brake shoes must be bedded in on brake rollers or a closed road.
