Abstract
This Industrial training report presents the experience garnered during my 6 Weeks of
industrial training undertaken at Clear Point Instrumentation Pvt Ltd. My training was
focused on Identification and Testing of Simple Electronic Components. During this period, I
acquired practical knowledge on how to Test Components, Desolder and Solder SMD
Components especially SMD I.C.’s .
This report discusses about What is Clear Point Instrumentation Pvt Ltd and What do
they DO{Services Provided}.This Report also Discusses My Experience at Clear Point
Instrumentation Pvt Ltd and thing I learnt.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Working in Clear Point Instrumentation was interesting. During these Six Weeks of
internship, I learnt a lot about Component Identification and Testing. I have to thank
Mr.Tejas Shah for advising me during this Internship.
Therefore, I am grateful to the people in the Clear Point Instrumentation for the
chance to make this Internship happen. I especially want to thank Mrs. Pooja.Ajay.Pawar for
Educating Me about the Different Components and Methods to Test Them.

Organizational structure of
Industry/Organization and General
Layout
1
The Industry is divided into Various Departments Namely:
Front Desk
Admin Department
Store Department
Service Department
Purchase Department
All of these Departments Function Together to Run the Industry and are Dependent on
Each Other.
Front Desk :
● Responsibilities :
1. To Keep a Record of the Components available in the Inventory.
2. To Keep a Record of the Cards/PCBs which are given by the Clients to be
2
repaired and the Cards/PCBs which have been repaired and delivered to the Client.
● Importance :
1. As the Front Desk keeps/maintains some Important Records without the front
Desk the Functioning of the Industry will be less Organized and Systematic.
● Responsibilities :
1. To Test The Components which are Purchased.
2. To Test The Quality of the Repaired PCB by Visual Inspection and Testing the
Replaced Components.
3. To Insure Proper Packaging of Repaired Cards/PCBs while being dispatched for
Delivery.
● Importance :
1. Without the Quality Assurance Department any Industry can’t Maintain the Quality
of it’s Service.
Store Department :
● Responsibilities :
1. To take the Card/PCB from the Front Desk after it’s Entry has been done to unbox it
and give it to the Service Department.
2. To Pack the repaired Card/PCB so that it can be delivered to the Client.
● Importance :
1. There is no Point in Repairing a Card/PCB if it is not Packaged Properly as Improper
Packaging can damage the Card/PCB.
Service Department :
● Responsibilities :
1. Repairing PCBs.
2. Calibrating Instruments.
● Importance :
The Service Department is the Backbone of the Industry.
Admin Department :
● Responsibilities :
1. The Admin Department manages the Employees.
2. It acts as a Link between Service Department and Clients.
● Importance :
1. Proper Management of Employees is really Important.
Purchase Department :
● Responsibilities :

Initially established under the name of CLEAR POINT in the year 1992, a brain child of
Mr.Rajiv Lilaramani, an Electronic Engineer, who foresaw the need of a industry to
maintain highly sophisticated electronic equipments.
Maintenance & repair of advanced and sophisticated electronic equipments was a big
hurdle to many corporates besides lack of a cost effective support system from Original
Equipments Manufacturers. Now over 2 decades CLEAR POINT has bridged this space
and provides comprehensive maintenance support & service to major Public & Private
sector undertaking. This has helped them by pass these very constraints and render quick
and timely solutions.
The company over the years has grown at a tremendous rate, from 1992 to 2019. CLEAR
POINT turned into CLEAR POINT INSTRUMENTATION PVT. LTD. in the year 2002.
Services Provided :

INTRODUCTION :
Being in Service Sector, Clear Point Instrumentation Pvt Ltd (Cp), has integrated IT into
business so as to enable to reduce downtime in the process of servicing.
One is the Walk in Customer (W I C) and the other Regular Type OF Customer, the one with
whom CPIPL have Tenders or AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) currently in place.
For a W I C, CPIPL provides a free estimate, and also a quotation is personally handed to the
Walk in party or its send thru post/electronic-mail.
Once approved the material/work comes along with the approval and with or without the gate
pass from the WIC’s company/firm, and a delivery slip is issued to the customer bringing in
the Work/Job/Card.
First the details of the Work/Job/Card are taken by the Stores and are recorded into their
systems and a Job Number is generated for future references and tracking along with the Job
Card (Yellow Slip Tagged to the Work before it goes into the Stores) and is communicated to
the customer.

3. Company From:
4. Contact Person:
5. Cp Engineer:
6. Job No:
Note: Job No. Are the Serial No generated by the Stores at Cp for tracking of the Jobs which
are in and which have the work order (WO) along with them.
12
Process Flow for regular Customers:
Since CPIPL already have a service contract with the Company/Firm, the Work/Job/Card
comes in along with the gate passes, the gate passes are filed into the respective Company
Files (date wise) and then the Work/Job/Card is tagged with the Job Card (yellow colour slip,
having details of the Work/Job/Card), which contains again the above mentioned details on it,
like:
1. Card No:
2. Card Type:
3. Company From:
4. Contact Person:
5. Cp Engineer:
6. Job No:
