Originating from the Higaonon tribe of Mindanao, Binaylan Banog is a dance that imitates the

movements of a mother hen, her banog (baby chicks), and a hawk. As the hawk is sacred and believes
that it has power over the tribe, it tries to capture the chicks while the mother hen retaliates. Passing
tribesmen intervene and the hunter becomes the hunted as the hawk is slain.
