Proceedings:
The first Homeroom PTA meeting was held on May 31, 2019 at Grade 12 SHS
Building. There were 17 parents who signed at the attendance as they arrived at the
meeting area. The meeting was expected to start at 9:00 AM but some of the parents
were also attending on the lower year level. With this, the adviser had to wait for the
quorum to start the said meeting.
The meeting was formally started at 9:30 in the morning with a short prayer
presided by Daiza R. Miranda – Botin, Grade 12 class adviser. The welcome address was
then delivered by the adviser right after the prayer. At 9:35 in the morning the meeting
proper commenced. The first agendum of the meeting was the election of new set of
HRPTA Officials for the SY 2019 – 2020.
Ms. Miranda initially presided the said election. After electing the president, Mrs.
Marilou P. Alcana took over the election of the remaining officials. As agreed upon by
the majority, below is the list of newly elected HRPTA Officials:

Auditor : Mary Ann O. Bueno

The second agendum was the re-orientation and reminders for the school policies
stated in the Kasunduan ng Magulang and Nang Paaralan. Some important policies
were pointed out such as wearing of prescribe uniforms for senior high, proper hair cut
for the boys and attending the flag ceremony. Student’s progress and performance as
well as the student’s behavior in school were also tackled which was listed as the third
agendum of the meeting. Encouragement as to good performance was once again
emphasized making them aware of the roles they played as parents/guardians. They
were also reminded to encourage their child to avoid consecutive absences that greatly
affect the student’s academic performance.
The fourth agendum was the update for the class schedule and program of for
this year. Attending regularly and submission of the requirements in all subject area was
pointed out.
The next agendum which was communicated and discussed properly to the
parent was garbage disposal policy. It was explained to the parents that one of the
challenge being faced of the school was the waste disposal. They were encourage to
let their child bring their own waste/garbage as they leave the school. The use of tumbler
or other water container was also encourage to lessen the use of plastic bottles. This was
agreed upon by the parents as they also suggested on how to lessen the garbage of the
school.
The sixth agendum was the HRPTA Project; it was communicated to the SHS
teachers to have one project for the senior high students, and it was a water pump. The
adviser Ms. Daiza delivered this to the parents and asked them if they have any idea on
the expenses on the suggested project. Parents suggested to canvass first on the said
project and will communicated on or before the second HRPTA meeting. Details have
yet to be agreed upon.
As all other pertinent concerns were dealt with for the time allotted, this was
followed by the distribution of books to the parents.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 in the morning, afterward was the GPTA meeting.
