    The Government of Telangana issued an order to amend the rates of seigniorage fee and dead rent under the Telangana Minor Mineral Concession Rules of 1966. The amendments increase the dead rent rates for shale, mosaic chips, fullers earth/bentonite, dimensional stones used for cubes and kerbs to Rs. 50,000 per hectare annually.     O R D E R:

    The following notification will be published in the Extra-Ordinary Issue of


    the Telangana Gazettee dated the 19th February, 2016.

    NOTIFICATION

    In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 15 of the


    Mines & Minerals (Development & Regulation) At, 1957 (Central Act No.67 of
    1957), the Government of Telangana hereby issue the following amendments to the
    Telangana Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1966 issued in G.O.Ms.No.1172,
    Industries & Commerce (Mines-I) Department, dated:04-09-1967 and as amended
    subsequently from time to time.

    AMENDMENTS

    In the said Rules, under Rule 10 of Telangana State Minor Mineral


    Concession Rules, 1966 for Schedule-II (in Sl.No.3 &4) the following shall be
    added, namely:
    SCHEDULE-II
    Rates of Dead Rent
    Sl. Rates of Dead Rent per
    No Name of the mineral Hectare per Annum
    (in Rs.)
    3 Shale, Mosaic Chips, Fullers Earth/Bentonite & 50,000
    Dimensional Stones used for cubes and & Kerbs.
    4 Limekanker. 40,000

    2. The revised rates of Seigniorage Fee and Dead Rent issued vide
    G.O.Ms.No.67, Industries & Commerce (M.I) Department, dated 26.09.2015 shall
    be w.e.f 26.09.2015.

    3. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their
    U.O.No.551/44/EBS-VII/I&C/2016, dated:11-02-2016.
