My Course Reflection

What are the main activities that engaged The activities which I engaged myself with
in during the course? during the course are :
The Chat Sessions. This was attended four times
(January 13, January 20, February 3, and
February 10). In these chat sessions, I gained
meaningful experiences with my flexible tutor
and co – learners because we had a lot of
conversations that helped us develop our
teaching practices. We were able to share some
of our best practices and express our knowledge
about education system and how to meet the
demands of the 21st century.

Formulation of Personal Lifelong Learning


Plan (PLLP), Personal Development Plan,
Classroom Management Plan, and Action
Plan. These planning activities have made me
exercised my capability to devise ways of
improving myself, my profession, and my
students. This shows me a clear picture of what I
want to become as a teacher, as a motivated and
committed teacher of the 21st century.

Debate. This took me some arrangement and


request to my school head and co – teachers to
witness my students in Filipino as they defend
their stand about the topic. I was able to have a
chance to exchanging thoughts with my school
head as well as with my co – teachers who
served as the panelist during the debate.

Module Reading. Though this, I was able to


catch up with the discussions in the chat
sessions, I am exposed with the valuable bits of
information which in a full extent really helped
me improve my teaching pedagogies and mind
frame towards teaching.

Consultation with my School Head. Having a


hand – on school head, I am humbled by his
suggestions and comments regarding the plans I
have crafted.

How relevant and applicable are the The contents of the two modules in the course

teachers. It reminds me of my responsibilities to
equip myself so that I can respond to the call of
the challenges brought by the fast – paced time.

What challenges or difficulties did you Among the challenges I had in this course are
experience during the course? the due dates set for submission of outputs.
Meeting the deadlines seem to be a great
debacle on my part.
What significant learning insights did you The important insights I gained from the course
gain from the course? are:
To be a 21st century teacher, I must be a 21st
century learner. It is because I cannot give what
I do not have.
I have to process the 21st century literacy to
become productive and globally competitive.

What areas related to your being a 21st I need to improve my time management, in
Century Teacher/Facilitator/Classroom order to catch up in the submission of the

What can you say about your overall Expressing from my heart, my overall
experience in the course (comment on experiences in the course are:

competency, and the online modality)? It was educational. It required me to read
modules. It was enjoyable yet very challenging
because I had to keep myself in the discussion
that I was excited and anxious about how my
tutor and co – learners would respond to my
answers.
Forum
It was my first stop in the Guro21 Learning
Course of SEAMEO Innotech Flexible Learning
Management. The forum provided some
directions on how to do the course requirements.
Course Requirements
This also required me to read extra from the
other readings and resources available online for

other references. Its demand for preparation and


accomplishment made me realized my
multitasking job as a teacher.
Tutor
My tutor is very able, flexible, supportive, and
very motherly. Her support for learners, which I
experienced, encouraged me to do a lot readings
and to give my best in the accomplishment of the
outputs. She had been a great influence to me as
a teacher with her bits of wisdom that are really
motivating.
Online Modality
With resourcefulness, it feels good that it is
accessible even to distant learners like me.

What are your other comments / I may suggest that the chat session be given
suggestions for improving the content more time because only during those times, we
coverage and the way the course will be were be able to interact and exchange salient
delivered in the future delivered ideas and be inspired to benchmark the best
practices shared by others in the chat session.
