Audio frequency or sound waves are frequencies that can be heard by humans, it ranges from 20 to

20,000Hertz or20KHz.

AUDIO FREQUENCY/SPECTRUM BANDS:

SUB-BASS= lowest frequencies which can be heard by humans, usually it felt rather than heard. 16 to 100Hz
is the range. Bass guitar, bass keyboard, bass drum, male singers, orchestras, war movies, Jurassic park,
Dagundong o kalaboooooooog!

BASS= 60 TO 250Hz, low frequency sound, slightly boomy sound. Modern music has 90 to 200Hz AF range.

LOW MIDRANGE=250 to 500Hz, bass and lower-stringed instruments.

MIDRANGE-500 to 2KHz range, human voice, at 1KHz most sensitive.

UPPER MIDRANGE- 2KHz to 4KHz, percussion and rhythm instruments.

PRESENCE=4 kHz to 6 kHz makes sound more distant and transparent.

BRILLIANCE=6 kHz to 20 kHz. The brilliance range is composed entirely of harmonics and is
responsible for sparkle and air of a sound. Boost around 12 kHz make a recording sound more Hi Fi.
MAKALANSING.

Be cautious over boosting in this region as it can accentuate hiss or cause ear fatigue.
