>Instrument Parameters
Each of ADM CM’s instrument sounds has different parameters,
and some have different functionality across different sounds
even if they have the same name. They also have varying
functionality depending on whether you’re using ADM CM’s 606
emulation or samples. Thankfully, the parameters are pretty
simple and intuitive, so we suggest experimenting with them. If
you want to find out about them in more depth, consult the ADM
manual at www.audiorealism.se/adm/ADM_Manual.pdf.
Some instruments have a switch for toggling them between
two sounds, though as ADM CM doesn’t include sounds from its
big brothers the 808 and 909, these don’t serve any purpose in
this version. The LED displays at the top of each instrument’s
row show the sound source it’s playing back – 606 for the
instrument’s drum machine emulation, or SPL to show its

>FX SECTION
ADM CM’s FX section features two separate effects: a filter with
band-pass and low-pass modes, and a distortion effect called
Mangle. The filter must be activated before it can be used, by
clicking the On/Off toggle at the bottom left-hand corner of this
section. The Cutoff and Q work exactly like the cutoff and
resonance controls in any standard effect, as do the envelope
controls: Amount, Attack and Decay. However, the envelope
needs to be triggered from the step sequencer on specific notes.
To do this, activate the PCF button at the bottom of this section,
and left-click any steps you want to activate the start of the
envelope on. A quirk of this PCF sequencer is that you have to
right-click steps to deactivate them, rather than simply clicking
them again as you can using the other sequencers. It’s also worth
noting that when the PCF button is activated, adjusting any
parameters will cause them to be automated. The BP/LP toggle
switches the filter between band-pass and low-pass modes.

>OUTPUTS/OPTIONS
By default all ADM CM’s sounds are routed to the main stereo outputs, but
a variety of other routing options are available by right-clicking the output
at the top left-hand corner. This gives you the choice of No Routing (where
all sounds are routed to the main stereo outs) or Multi Out (where each
drum sound gets its own individual channel). There are also four different
common routing presets. You can define your own routings by right-
clicking the 11 outputs after the first one, which represent ADM CM’s
11 instrument channels, and selecting an output channel. Clicking
