Cadex C-Code

This document provides information on configuration codes (C-codes) used for Cadex battery analyzers. It details the basic and extended C-code formats for different chemistries including NiCd, NiMH, SLA, Li-ion and Li-Ph. The basic C-code indicates chemistry, resolution, voltage and battery rating. The extended C-code provides additional details like charge/discharge rates, capacity offset, temperature sensing values and cutoff voltages. It also notes exceptions for certain analyzers that don't support all chemistries or code values.

C-CODE TABLES FOR CADEX BATTERY ANALYZERS

January 5, 2009

This document interprets Configuration Codes (C-codes) used in battery catalogs.

The following exceptions should be made when using this table.

a. The C4000 does not have the capability to service Li-Ion batteries or for DC Charge (use the Rev Load 0%
instead).
b. Disable all temperature sensing; use ‘0’ as the temperature sensing value (C4000).
c. Li-Ph is ONLY on C7x00-C series analyzers.
d. Not compatible with C8000 (C8000 uses a different Chemistry Code).

Format
There are two C-Code formats depending on the chemistry:
