    History and Background


    Blue Knights FM (94.7 MHz), the official radio station of the university, was launched in January 2008. The
    station serves as a training ground for Mass Communication majors. Blue Knights FM airs from 4 PM- 5 PM,
    Monday to Friday. The station is located inside the Humanities Division. Blue Knights uses the frequency of
    FM 94.7 MHz.

    DEPARTMENT
    We were trained mainly in radio broadcasting. We were headed by Mr. Joseph A. Laroscain, Assistant Dean of
    the Humanities and Letters Cluster. I was first assigned to air during Mondays in Manic Monday as BaTUCK.
    Then was transferred to Tuesdays in Tuesday Romance as Papa Fall.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    94.7 Blue Knight FM Manic Monday Shift. We were tasked to manage the sound technical and act as
    anchors for Manic Monday as the Super Trio – WONDER PETmalu, Miss LINNYverse, AssuMINGMING, and
    BaTUCK.

    94.7 Blue Knight FM Tuesday Romance Shift. We were tasked to manage the sound technical and act as
    anchors for Tuesday Romace as the Duo Tagapayo – Papa Fall and Mama Rupok.

    ASSESSMENT
    I rate my performance in all these activities as very high. Among all the companies that I’ve worked with, Blue
    Knight FM, I believe is the company that I exerted a lot of efforts. I have no absences on my duties. I was able
    to work well both on the technical aspects and as radio anchor. I was also appointed as the leader of the second
    batch of DJs.
    REFLECTION
    Since my high school, I know in my heart that radio djing is for me. I enjoy myself a lot whenever I’m inside the
    room. I consider radio djing to be one of the possible option for my future job. I believe that I can do better and
    I’m comfortable with the job. I’m looking forward to be able to use my experience in Blue Knight FM once I
    graduate in the university.
