COMPUTER LABORATORY RULES AND

REGULATIONS
1. Work quietly. Only whispering is permitted when students are given permission, working in groups
or trying to help another student.
2. NO food or drink allowed inside the Computer Lab!
3. Make sure your hands are clean before coming to the lab. If you leave to use the restroom, please
use soap and water to wash your hands before returning from the restroom.
4. Treat your classmates, your teacher and Computer Lab teacher and all equipment with respect. No
banging on the keyboards or mouse. Keep your hands off of the monitor. Do not twist the monitor
or laptop so your friends can see. Remember that respect always includes being polite and showing
your good manners towards others. And handling our equipment gently and carefully.
5. Cover Your Mouth When Sneezing (NOT with Your Hand, Use your forearm or shoulder). Keep
your fingers out of your nose and mouth when in the Computer Lab.
6. DO NOT change computer settings! Do not move, change or delete any of the icons. Do not edit
files that do not belong to you.
7. Do not get out of your seat without permission. Always walk when you are in the lab.
8. Raise your hand when you need help. If other students need help use your mouth NOT their mouse
and remember to whisper.
9. Keep your workstation area neat.
10. Only print when given permission or asked to do so.
11. Surf Safely- Only visit approved sites and only when asked to do so. Never give out personal
information. Do not share your passwords with anyone other than your Computer Lab teacher,
teachers, parents or school administration, if school related.
12. Save your work often.
13. Log off and exit out of all programs at dismissal.
14. Clean your workstation when it's time to be dismissed- Hang up your headphones put the cord in
the back of the monitor. Make sure your keyboards are under the monitor and your mouse is placed
on top of the keyboard on top of the numerical keypad. Throw away your trash on your way out.
