COURSE INFORMATION:
COURSE DESCRIPTION The course introduces prospective teachers to the nature of teaching. It deals specifically with the principles of
effective instruction and the concomitant processes involved; instructional planning and actual teaching. The
course is a blend of theoretical information and selected matching actual experiences.

PREREQUISITE none
COURSE OBJECTIVES At the end of the semester, the students must have:
1. Internalized the VMGO, Core Values of the College as well as the academic policies.
2. Acquired an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles of teaching.
3. Developed decision making skills and competencies in the teaching profession.
4. Passed the Midterm Examination
5. Developed competencies in applying instructional approaches and methods appropriate to particular teaching
learning situations and objectives set.
6. Demonstrated competencies on effective instructional techniques.
7. Acquired classroom management approaches as integral part of teaching.

COURSE POLICIES:
. 1. A student will be dropped from the class if his or her absences exceeded 20% of the total
2. A student will be marked “tardy” if he or she comes late for 15 minutes.
3. Three incidences of tardiness will be equivalent to one absence.
4. Use of any gadgets in the class is prohibited unless required by the instructor.
5. Submission of written outputs should only be made on or before the deadline.
6. Academic dishonesty like cheating in any examination, plagiarism and the like will be penalized as stipulated in the MinSCAT Student Handbook.
