PROGRAM: Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education


PROGRAM VISION, MISSION, GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
Vision: Contribute to the global economy by training highly skilled workers using the state of the art technologies.
Mission: Provide quality instructions and trainings through industry based competency curriculum.
Goal: To produce self-reliant and competent Technical Teacher Education Graduates, equipped with concrete knowledge and skills, morally
upright responsive to a modern world of teaching and technological works.
Objectives:
1. To develop competent Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education Program (BTTE) graduates for global competitiveness.
2. To provide the students with updated knowledge and employable skills through instruction, seminars, conferences, trainings and
Educational tours.
3. To conduct researches relevant to the program.
4. To establish linkages with the TESDA and other establishment and companies for the industry immersion of students and placement of

COURSE TITLE Principles of Teaching

COURSE DESCRIPTION The course introduces prospective teachers to the nature of teaching. It deals specifically with the principles of
effective instruction and the concomitant processes involved; instructional planning and actual teaching. The
course is a blend of theoretical information and selected matching actual experiences.
COURSE CREDITS 3

PREREQUISITE none

COURSE OBJECTIVES At the end of the semester, the students must have:
1. Internalized the VMGO, Core Values of the College as well as the academic policies.
2. Acquired an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles of teaching.
3. Developed decision making skills and competencies in the teaching profession.
4. Passed the Midterm Examination
5. Developed competencies in applying instructional approaches and methods appropriate to particular teaching
learning situations and objectives set.
6. Demonstrated competencies on effective instructional techniques.
7. Acquired classroom management approaches as integral part of teaching.
