3-C SPIRITUAL INVENTORY

AND GROWTH PLAN

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that
day. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to
prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.
All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave
to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread
in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the
people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

ACTS 2:41-47
Congratulations! You are about to take a very important step toward growing as a 3C Christ follower. The 3C
model that we use at Journey’s Crossing comes straight from Scripture, Acts 2:41-47, and is drawn from the
ancient church of the first century. These first century followers of Jesus were people who continually
Celebrated, Connected and Contributed to the dream of God.

You have chosen to do something that we all need, but few do – take time to reflect, evaluate and make
intentional choices for your own spiritual growth. The spiritual inventory is a tool to help you identify personal
areas of strength and opportunities for growth. It is not a spiritual checklist for measurement or meant for
comparison with others. Rather, use it as a compass to provide direction for your spiritual journey, knowing
that transformation is an ongoing process.

Instructions:
• Take a moment to pray before filling out the inventory. Ask God to lead you to answer the questions as
honestly and objectively as you can using the scale provided.

• Don’t spend too much time on any question, and remember, there is no right or wrong answer.

• Record additional thoughts in the personal reflection section on the bottom of each page. Anticipate the
Holy Spirit encouraging you in areas of strength, and in other areas challenging you to grow as a 3C Christ
follower.

• When you are finished, transfer your inventory answers to the evaluation sheet. Higher scores indicate your
areas of strength. Lower scores indicate areas for growth.

• Use your results to guide you in using the Spiritual Growth Plan to develop a personal plan to grow as a 3C
Christ follower in the coming year.

These tools are most effective when used in the context of the Biblical community found in a small group. I
strongly encourage you to share your goals with your small group where you will find accountability,
encouragement and partners for your journey.
