(The invitation for soluto clients)

Learning points
In this work immersion that happened in the past few days. I learned a lot on how
to deal with people correctly when it comes to a work place. I also learned that in terms
of selling your products toward others you should make it personal, as Mr. Chan one of
the sales consultants told us. He also told us that when it comes to selling your product
you should get the heart of the clients. You should listen to their insights and tell them
you perfectly understand where they’re coming from. So that they will be open and you
will sight their weaknesses and strengths as a part of your marketing strategy. In that
case, you will know where to focus on getting their hearts.

Also, Ma’am Jacqueline Lopez told us that marketing is also about bluffing. When
we are making our immersion project she told us that a promo flyer should contain a
bluff. Bluffing the possible customers can get them curious to know more about your
product. She even told us to be creative and persuasive when it comes to marketing
your product so that you will get clients. We observed that if you just have this good
marketing mouth you will get more clients and you will have lots of commission. Just like
Ms. Jenny one of the sales consultants in Kia Motors, she got a lot of clients. She has
this good looking face and a wonderful mouth that can persuade any customers.

I also learned that attitude is very important when dealing your co- workers,
clients and etc,. It is also one of the factors that we should have because it will mirror
who we are in the first place. If you don’t have it maybe they will label you as
unmannered or unprofessional. You’re in the work place and you should act like one. In
times of having them around you, respect is the outmost priority. You should respect
them in order for them to respect you also.

I also learned that you should always create a good impression. You should also
be formal and delicate looking enough for them. It will help you deserve enough to take
that position even if you’re just a trainee. Even though others in position will criticize you
the way you dress, the way you act and the way others finds you amusing than they
were to them. I also learned how to deal with those critics; you just smile to them like
you don’t even care about what they think of you. Show them you are not like them.
Show and prove them you are better than those who criticize you. In the end they will be
just those jealous co- workers. It will be the end of them if they will know you excelled
even if those words wounded you. But in over-all experience the most important thing
that I learned is never belittle your capacity to learn and prove them you can do better,
around those in position and the achievers in the field of business. Aim high, work hard
and pray harder.
Narrative Report

We were told by our teachers that we needed to do the work immersion because

it is one of the requirements that are needed to comply for us to graduate in Senior High

School. It should be in the duration of 80 hours. Also, with the helped of our subject

teacher Mr. Ariel G. Vistal we were referred in Kia motors. So, I started my work

immersion last February 18, 2019 at Kia Motors in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City. The

very first thing that we did when we got there was to talk and report to the Crossroads

director, Mr. Lorimer Angeles. He is the one who interviewed us and told us the

company that we were going to work for during the work immersion.

We came there as a group and were divided into 2 and some of my classmates

were referred in their sister’s company in uptown. So Mr. Lorimer guide and hand us in

the accounting department of Kia. First the welcoming was warm and they were all

smiling because Mr. Lorimer was there. But little did we know that after he was gone to

go back in his office. We were intervened with the defying silence and it seems that they

didn’t notice us. We were just sitting across them. We sat there for 3 hours with nothing

to do. They were talking and ignoring our presence. Suddenly, their other officemates

got inside the accounting department room asked if we were the immersionist and we

politely answered the question.

They were having their snack in front of us. They didn’t even bother to tell us to

eat. We are not hungry and we were just asking them the respect but they didn’t give

anyway. As a daughter raise with proper manners I was shocked by their action. They
seem to be not professionals enough with their manners just sucked. And someone told

us from the accounting department that we should wait outside because our in charged

the sales manager Mrs. Jacqueline Lopez has not yet arrived in order for us not to be

bored.

So as the afternoon came exactly 1pm in the same day, Mrs. Jacqueline came.

We introduced our names together and she assigned someone to tell us the basic

product knowledge about the product they’re selling. So Mr. Kinneth Chan led us in the

showroom. He told us the basic information that we needed to know in selling the

products. He even showed examples that make it more clearly to us. The second day

February 19, 2019, Ma’am Jacque told us that she needed our helped in making those

invitation for Soluto clients. It is their new product model. So we encoded the names

printed it and pasted it on the invitations she gave to us.

The third day February 20, 2019, we were just observing the sales consultant sell

the products and used their marketing mouth in the clients for them to have a

commission. They were deluding us that we should be a sales consultant too. They

were telling us things about being consultants. They were telling us that the job is not

boring at all because you got a lot of chance to meet a lot of people in dealing them.

The fourth day February 21, 2019, Ma’am Jacque told us to have this immersion project

in which we are going to make a solouto promo flyers. She also told us that the picanto

promo flyers were created by XU immersionists. She gave us the picanto promo flyers

so that we have a guide on what we were going to do.


The fifth day, February 22, 2019 is the start of brainstorming with my co-

immersionists and also my classmates we come up to the ideas and carefully analyzing

if it is very attractive and persuading as Ma’am Jacque told us it should be. In the fourth

day of our work immersion we started making it and we have lots of try and error but we

made it anyway. The sixth day came, February 26 and we presented our immersion

project to Ma’am Jacque and she was happy telling that we are so good in what we did.

She didn’t pick one of it as she says we should do 3 promo flyers so that she can

choose whether what is like but she happily chose them all.

The seventh day March 01, 2019, Ma’am Jacque told us that she needed us to

helped her in printing and encoding the pricelists as it was updated due to the coming

out of the new model. She even told us to compute the insurances, chattel mortgage.

And we happily did the job she asks as to. The eighth day March 04, 2019 we were told

again to compile the files of the clients. She ordered us to put the promissory notes on

the client’s folders. She told us to look for the names of the clients. The ninth day March

05, 2019, Ma’am Jacque told us to arrange the clear books.

The tenth day March 06, 2019, we were asked to changed the display brochures

of the cars. We also thought that it is the last day of our work immersion. We passed our

DTR to the receptionist of the crossroads and she computed the time we rendered in

the past 10 days but it is lacking with one last 8 hours due to the late minutes when we

log in the morning and out in the afternoon. So we decided to patch things up. So we

extended our time there for just one day so that it will patch the lacking because it

should be 80 hours rendered. So on the extended day March 11, 2019 we were ask to

print the new brochures for soluto. We happily obliged since it was the last day of our
work immersion there. We were also asked to arrange it in the rack. They also told us to

go to the nearest LBC Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City across the CUMC hospital, to send

the packages to the clients. After which, we said our goodbyes to Ma’am Jacqueline

Lopez. She asked for a photo together since it is our last day. She told us that after we

graduate in college we should go back there and apply for a job.
