Newgen Omni Output Management System, O2, is a high-
performance solution designed to efficiently meet dynamic
requirements of today’s organizations. O2 has a modular architecture,
consisting of discreet components for various stages of Output
Management such as Data Capturing, Designing, Rendering,
Distribution, Presentment and Archival.
Data Capture Module and Composition Designer
This module is used to connect to disparate systems and multiple
databases. The user can specify relations between the database tables.
Using simple drag-and-drop functionality, users can move around
elements (fields, labels, barcodes, images, messages, annotations, etc.)
on the output to create aesthetically appealing and professional-
looking layouts for effective customer communication.
Scheduler
Scheduler automatically allocates jobs lined up in job queue to various
output devices for achieving optimum output.
Rendering Service
Rendering Services capture data from the database and take inputs
from the Scheduler such as frequency of statement generation to
generate well-structured output in the form of statements, reports,
forms, etc.
OMS and Distribution Server
OMS and Distribution server uses various output services such as Print
Service, Print Spool Generation Service, Web Publishing Service, Fax
Service, PDF Service, and E-mail Service to manage the multi-channel
distribution of output and statements for timely and correct delivery. It
facilitates failsafe mechanism for assured delivery. Using OMS server, IT
staff has complete view and control of the output environment for
efficient management of resources.
Output Archival System
The output is archived into a Document Management System such as
OmniDocs or any other third-party DMS. OmniReports is also used for
archiving purpose where data and templates can be separately
archived.
