Myp2B Name: Shriyansha Jha Topic: Media: Clay High Relief Criterion A: Knowing and Understanding
Shriyansha Jha created a high relief sculpture of a Mughal image out of clay for her MYP2B project. Through the project, she learned how to properly sculpt with clay using tools and developed her skills, as her initial attempts were too flat or small but improved over multiple classes. She also learned to think creatively to come up with design ideas, sometimes taking help from others, and had fun collaborating with a friend to create a turtle sculpture. Overall, she found the project educational and enjoyed learning about the applications of clay sculptures in daily life and pottery.

Topic : Mughal sculptures Media: Clay High relief Criterion A: Knowing and understanding: I now know how to work properly with clay. I have learnt how to sculpt a specific image or animal using clay and tools. I understand that making clay projects needs a lot of patience, hard work and time. I know that working with clay can get very messy.
Criterion B: Developing skills:
I haven’t worked with clay to make sculptures and images that stand out, so that was a first time experience. The first time we used clay I continuously got it wrong, sometimes it was too flat other times it was two small. By the last class my base was of the perfect size and my art work had improved a lot. Criterion C: Thinking creatively: When it came to getting ideas on what to make I got stuck and ran out of ideas. By the end of the class, though, I always managed to come up with something unique. I took help sometimes when it came to coming up with ideas. I think the most creative idea I came up with would be our sculpture of a Toto the Turtle that I created with my friend in a pair task. Criterion D: Responding I think that it was very fun to do this and that we should do this again, I also learnt the application of clay sculptures in our daily life and how clay is like cement in buildings. I learnt how potters use clay to make pottery and clay utensils.
