To Learn The Basic Machine Codes or Opcodes of Intel 8086

The document summarizes Lab 2 which focuses on basic machine codes or opcodes for the Intel 8086 microprocessor. The lab objectives are to learn the basic machine codes and their descriptions. The lab equipment includes an MDA-Win 8086 Trainer Kit. The lab codes several assembly language instructions like MOV, PUSH, POP, ADD, INC and examines their operation and output. It also provides a table with the name, opcode, operands and description of various common instructions for the Intel 8086.

2.8 Notes:

 When two operands are required for an instruction they are separated by comma. For
example:

REG, memory

 The size of operands must be same. For example:

AL, DL
DX, AX

 Mov command is use for the operation

Mov BX,AX
Mov BX,[BI+SI]
