Good afternoon one and all present here.

MC 1&2: I am Guru Prasad and I am Punyashree. We welcome you all to this exciting

farewell party. We are delighted to be your anchors for this afternoon.

MC 1: “Every beginning has an end, and every end has a new beginning.”

It’s a relentless cycle seen in every aspect of our lives.

MC 2: A very warm and hearty welcome to all the faculty and to all the beautiful girls and

handsome boys too.

MC 1: Today we have assembled here to bid adieu to our beloved seniors who are about to

embark on a new journey. We wish you all the very best for your colourful future and

dreams.

MC 2: Let us start the day with a heart-throbbing dance performance by Sheetal and group.

MC 1: Wow! That was an awesome performance!

MC 2: College days are the most memorable days in our life. We cherish a lot of fond

memories of our college days. Now, I would like to invite Nikhil, from the department of

Journalism, to share some of his memorable moments with us.

MC 1: Thanks, Nikhil.

MC 2: Before we move on to the next performance, let us have some fun by playing a few

interesting games.
[Game1: draping sari for boys]

MC 1: Congratulations to the winners. Give them a big round of applause.

MC 2: Let us move on and listen to the melodious group song by our friends.

MC 1: That was a melodious rendition.

MC 2: “If you have nothing to lose, you can try everything.” with this thought we’ll move on

to some more funny games.

[Game 2: Toothpick with bangle]

[Game 3: Balloons and cups]

[Game 4: Coin with spoon]

Put your hands together to encourage them. Cheer them up!

Congratulations to the winners!

MC1: Now it’s time to laugh and enjoy. Now, let us welcome Sheetal and team to entertain

us with a funny skit……put your hands together and welcome them.

MC 2: That was a marvellous performance! Thank you for entertaining us with those funny

acts.

MC 1: “Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another.”

So, we heartily invite Reema and Sheetal Prakash to make your heart race with the beats

of duet dance.

MC 2: It was a mind blowing and heart hitting performance! Give them a big round of

applause.

MC 1: Now, let us invite our seniors to participate in dumb charade and show their acting

talent.

Congratulations to the winners….

MC 2: “A good teacher is like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for others.”
We are lucky enough to get wonderful teachers, who have always brightened our ways and

guided us in the right direction.

It gives me immense pleasure to invite Divya maam from the department of Journalism and

Mass communication to share her thoughts about the outgoing students.

MC 1: Thank you very much, maam for such wonderful thoughts… [We will definitely

follow your advice]

MC 2: “Leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.”

We are blessed to have a leader like Dr. Gurubasavaraja sir to lead the students in the path of

progress.

May I now invite sir to share his words of wisdom.

MC 1: Thank you, sir, for those motivational words.

MC 2: “The hard part is not getting the body in shape, the hard part is getting the mind in

shape.” Now we have someone with us who is perfect both in body and mind.

MC 1: We are honoured to present a special award to Mr. Karthik, from the dept. of

commerce, for his extraordinary achievements. He represented SFS College in the best physic

competition organised by Bengaluru University and scored 2nd place.

MC 2: He has also written a book titled “Autonomy of Body Building and Darker Side of

Steroid Abuses.” It is awaiting publication.

MC 1: May I request Dr. Gurubasavaraja Sir to come on the stage and present the special

award to Karthik.

MC 2: Thank you, sir and thank you, Karthik.

MC 1: Before we move on the next award, I want to share a joke with you all.

MC 2: What is it?
MC 1: Once a teacher asked a student to tell the difference between a junior and a senior. The

student replied: the one who lives near the sea is call sea-near and the one who lives near the

zoo is zoo-near.

MC 2: Ha ha, funny. Jokes apart, the fact is that the bond between a junior and a senior is a

special one. To strengthen this bond and as a token of their love and appreciation for their

seniors, the juniors have got gifts for the seniors on this special occasion.

MC 1: may I now request ………..to come on the stage to present the gifts to the seniors.

MC 2: As I call out the names, I request all the seniors to come on the stage one by one to

collect their gift.

MC 1: Now is the time to move ahead with the awards.

MC 1: “Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to

know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life.” Rightly said Billie Jean

King.

MC2: Now is the time to felicitate the best sportsperson of SFS College and the best

sportsman award goes to David from the dept. of psy.

MC 1: May I now invite ……………to come on the stage to present the award to David.

MC 2: Congratulations! David. Keep up the sportsman’s spirit. Thank you, Sir.

MC 1: “Culture is a basic need. A community thrives through its culture and dies with it.”

MC 2: Now is time to felicitate the student who has expressed and represented our culture in

various events. The best cultural award goes to none other than Elmy from the dept. of psy.
MC 1: May I call upon ……….to give away the best cultural award to Elmy.

MC 2: Congratulations! Elmy, for keeping our culture shining and bright in the midst of

westernization of the world. Thank you, Sir.

MC 1: Last but not the least, now we have come to the most awaited award of the day- the

overall trophy. May I call upon all the teachers to come on the stage to give away the overall

trophy to the best group/house.

MC 2: Any guess? Yes, you are right, the overall trophy goes to none other than Acadians.

Congratulations! Acadians. Thank you, all the teachers.

MC 1: “Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end.

They simply mean we’ll miss you, until we meet again.”

May I now invite Sherly from the dept. of Psy to deliver the vote of thanks.

Thank you, Sherly.

We wish all our seniors all the best for their future endeavor and pray for your bright future.

Thanks once again for being a wonderful and cheerful audience.
