    Volant’s top drive casing running architecture has a proven, international track record,
    having run more than 229 million feet (70 million metres) of casing worldwide.
    As the technology has matured and rig crews have become increasingly familiar
    with the casing running tool (CRT), we have been able to offer unmanned tool
    deployment with outstanding success. In addition to CRT services, Volant offers rig
    calibration and computer torque monitoring service. These resources enable our team
    to consistently provide reliable data and connection makeup quality assessment.

    Volant is committed to helping our customers do more with
    less. We achieve this goal by more efficiently utilizing existing
    resources. When rig crews become sufficiently familiar with CRT
    operation, a single person can be deployed to deliver the tool,
    coach CRT operation and operate the torque monitoring system.
    Unmanned tool deployment can further improve efficiency and
    help manage risk by keeping people out of harm’s way.

    How it works
    Volant’s casing running tools thread directly onto the quill of
    any top drive, engaging the casing ID or OD below the threads,
    through a torque energized radially expanding die system. Rig-in,
    operation and rig-out steps are simple, intuitive and efficient.

    Volant’s CRT reduces equipment required to perform casing


    running and will makeup, breakout, reciprocate, rotate, fill,
    circulate, and cement casing and liner strings.

    Computer torque monitoring is offered as a companion service to


    top drive CRT rental.
