Step Action on Screen Script

1 Title slide will appear Hey everyone, today I am

going to walk you through
the process of utilizing
Wizer Worksheets. This
tool not only makes
creating digital worksheets
a breeze, but it provides
ways to assess student
understanding that you
might not get through a
physical worksheet or
other assessment forms.

2 Open tab on Wizer website To begin, you will need to

go to www.wizer.me. Your
screen should look like
this.

3 To sign up, you will click

“join for free” at the top of
your screen. Next, you will
indicate that you are a
teacher.
4 Next, you will choose the
method in which you would
like to create your account.
You can sign in through
you Google or Edmodo
account, or you can sign in
with an email and
password. I am going to
sign in using my google
account, but you are
welcome to use whichever
method you wish.

5 The next screen that you

see will prompt you to fill
out your teaching profile,
however, you do have the
option to skip this step.

6. Now you are ready to get

started. To begin creating
your new digital worksheet,
click the plus sign on your
screen.

Click plus sign

7 Before you begin actually

putting content on your
assignment, you will want
to choose your design first.
You can always go back
and change your design at
Select a design any time.
8 Next you will select a cover
image, choose a title
background color, and the
font style.

Choose cover image, title background color,

and font style, then type in a worksheet title.

9. At this point you are ready

to load content on your
worksheet. If you scroll
down, you will see all of
the options available to use
on your worksheet, there
are a few features that are
only available with a
premium account, but you
are able to access most
task choices with a free
account. I’m going to select
the sorting option.

10. Each task that you include

on your worksheet needs
to have instructions. For
my question, I’m going to
ask students to determine
if the items listed
represents plants or
animals by sorting them
into the correct category. I
Type instruction into correct space.
will also include the
instructions telling students
to click on each word to
see a drop down menu will
appear that will allow them
to sort more easily. There
is an option here to leave
verbal instruction for
students if this is
something that you’re
interested in.
11. So now I’m going to create
this task answer key. I’m
going to list my categories
in each column. And then
I’m going to list the items I
plan to use in their correct
category.

List “plants” and “animals” at the top of the 2

columns.
Under plants, type: daisy and fern
Under animals, type: dog and cat

12. Scroll down to show options Now that I’m done with that
question I’m going to scroll
down and choose another
item to assess students
with.

13. One thing that I like about

this tool is that it allows you
to embed Youtube videos,
allowing students to watch
the content without ever
having to leave the page.

14. Click on open questions and locate the Another feature that I think
option for students to respond via recording. is beneficial for students is
the ability to answer open
ended questions verbally.
Some students can speak
about things more clearly
than they can put them into
text, and vice versa, so I
think this is a great option
to appeal to a wider range
of students.

15 Type in grade level and keywords, click After you have created
save. your assignment, you’re
going to identify the grade
level and any key words
you would like to associate
with your assignment. After
you have done that you’re
going to click save to make
sure that all your work
doesn’t disappear.

16. Click review. Questions will appear

Click assign to learners. slightly different from the
student view, so to review
your work and get a
preview of your
assignment, you will click
“Review” at the top of the
page”

17. You have the option to

assign to learners via
Google Classroom or
Edmodo, and you can
push it out to your students
directly from this site.

Point out options to assign to students with.

18. Fast forward to after your

students have completed
the assignment. I want to
show you what it will look
like on your end as you
view their results. By
clicking on the answers tab
at the top, you will be able
to see the score for each
student as well as how
much time they spent on it.
After students complete
the worksheet and submit,
their work should be
locked. However, you do
have the option to unlock
their work to allow them to
go back.

19. Thank you for taking the

time to check out this tool. I
hope this was helpful, and I
hope that this makes
assessment more efficient
for you!
