Description of Educational Setting:
Angloville operates week-long residential language programs offering “real world” English
speaking experiences to central European clients. Native English speaking volunteers help with
delivering prescribed conversational activities to our users who have varying levels of English
speaking and understanding ability.

The course is very intensive and often challenging not only for those learning English but for the
volunteers who give up their time to help. Most of the sessions (usually lasting 1 hour) are set
around the idea of 1 volunteer engaging in conversation with 1 learner, however some group
activity also makes up part of the program.

Summary Comments:

Tran was at all times a committed member of the group and a valuable asset over the course of the
week. She appeared to be considerate in her delivery of spoken English and aimed to support
learners with their needs.

She always appeared to be happy and positive about the idea of speaking to people and although
she was potentially a little worn out from an extensive travel itinerary, coped well with the
demands put on her.

Entertainment makes of part of the evening segment of the program’s day and it is worth noting
that Tran was able not only to take part in this event but also to lead it.

I would be more than happy to have her back in the future or to recommend her for similar work.
