ROTARACT Year End Report

RY: 2018 – 2019

Outstanding Project Based on the Panel of Judges:

1. Kibalisa Eco- Waste Tree Planting

Project Description:
This project aims to revived a dumping site into a forest. With the help of the ENRO Gingoog, we planted
almost 100 seedlings that aims to help the prevention of air pollution on the city and make that damage area to be
beneficial to all the Gingoognon nearby.
Recommendations:
- Make it conducted not just one session only but make it a long term project a
- Do assessments in order to measure whether the project goes successfully or not.
- Coordinate with the LGU’s to have a vacant land area for RAC of Gingoog Bay to be develop and
maintain around the dumping site.

2. Pahayahay sa Pantalan Coastal Clean Up

Project Description:
Saving our Motherland are what we aim for! The Pahayahay sa Pantalan Coastal Clean-up
Project were established to help our Local Government in preserving Pahayahay sa Pantalan as one of
the treasure of Gingoog City. This project also aims to lessen the possibility of water pollution that
brought by the garbage’s thrown by the people around that coastal area and to maintain its cleanliness
as well.
Recommendations:
- Put signage’s where signifies that the area was maintain by the RAC of Gingoog Bay
- Do the current challenge in the FB “Before and After”
- Make this project a long term project

3. Drug and Alcohol Awareness Symposium (THE FLAGSHIP PROJECT)

Project Description
Drugs and alcohol nowadays are very prone to any individuals, mostly the teenagers. Drugs and
alcohol can be beneficial for us but can be harmful as well if it is abused and used for direct crimes. Thus, to
address this issue, RAC of Gingoog Bay conduct this “ANTI- DRUG AND ALCOHOL AWARENESS “ symposium
which aims to inform and aware young ones on the effect of both drugs and alcohol. In this symposium, speakers
broaden the knowledge of 700 Senior High students about drugs and alcohol through a series of examples and
situations that the used of different kinds of drugs are seen. Furthermore, the validity of the said symposium and
all the information released are verify to be exact and truth as the speaker invited was once a drug addict, do
change for himself and now the Program Director of Recovery Service Group that provides rehabilitation
programs to those drugs addicts all over the Philippines.
Recommendations:
- Invite PNP Personnel to discuss the possible consequences of the individuals using drugs.
- Deepen or broaden the discussion
- Make it a long term project of the club
- Do assessment after the symposium to measure the impact of the symposium towards each beneficiaries
