Course Policies & Procedures

Attendance Policy: Students are responsible for attending classes as scheduled. If
an absence is unavoidable, the student is responsible for obtaining class notes from
other students. This is a web class use email.
Missed Assignment Policy: Late work will be accepted, but the instructor reserves the
right to reduce the amount of credit awarded if circumstances warrant. If a student
misses a scheduled examination a make-up exam may be taken. The make-up exam
will be comparable to, but different than the original exam.
Due Date Policy: Due dates are important, missing them effects your fellow students, I
will delay providing feedback while I wait for a late assignment.
Cheating Policy: Students who enroll in this course assume an obligation to conduct
their academic affairs in a manner compatible with the standards of academic
honesty established by the College and its faculty. If a student neglects or ignores this
obligation, disciplinary action will be taken. Specifically, I expect each student to do
his/her own work in this course, including discussions, activities, the project, and
examinations. Academic dishonesty may lead to a deduction of points, failure of an
assignment, or being dropped from the course, depending on the circumstances and
the policies of the student's home college. The Student Ethics Statement (Links to an
external site.)Links to an external site. outlines the expectations of the online
consortium.
Plagiarism Statement: Students are expected to be mindful of netiquette as they share
thoughts, ideas, and interact with others in the online environment. Problems or
concerns should be reported immediately to the instructor. Inappropriate messages will
be forwarded to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the online administrator.
Offensive messages may result in expulsion from the course. The following website
offers information on netiquette: Albion Netiquette Website (Links to an external

feedback that will occur for:

 Chapter test will be graded and returned by email

 Homework questions should be sent to me by email, and will be answers by email
within 24 hours.
 Emails are answered within 24 hours.
 Voicemail will be answered slower than emails since they will require that I see them
on my phone.

Assignment & Exam Expectations

It is important to clearly state how assignments are to be submitted and what is
expected when taking quizzes or exams.
Assignment Submissions:
Homework is not collected, doing it is required to do well on the exams
Exams/Quizzes:
Chapter test and the final exam will be sent to your email address of record and due in
24 hours. Using the drop box is expected.

Helpdesk & Technology Requirements

The chapter test will need to be scanned or use of a digital camera will be needed to
create the file to be placed in the drop box. It is also possible, but very time consuming,
to use the equation editor in Microsoft Word to answer the test questions.
