Question No. 1
Suppose ElecTech is a multinational electronics company which has branches in different countries. Recently it
has decided to open its new branch in Pakistan. In the new branch, the company wants to deploy computer
networks for its different departments each having 13 computers. Following are key requirements for deploying
the computer networks:
1. Finance department wants to use fast speed and highly secure network without involving any
intermediate device in place.
2. HR department wants to use centrally managed network.
3. Admin department requires connecting all computers in a linear fashion.
4. Finance, HR and Admin departments want to connect their networks with each other in such a way
that the data transmission among these departments should be carried through some Token passing
mechanism.
Considering the above mentioned scenario and requirements, you are required to fill the following table by
mentioning the most suitable topology and number of links required against each requirement:
