Extruder-Gear pump-
Combination
The rubicon extruder-gear pump-combination is used for the production of extrudates with
highest requirements of dimensional accuracy and extrusion stability.
The functions, normally combined in a conventional extruder are separated into different
procedures allowing them to be individually optimised. The extruder performs “only“ the task of
feeding, plastification and if required the degassing of the mixture. The gear pump conveys the
mixture to the head with a constant volume and provides the necessary pressure build-up.
