This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?
THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.
FILMING
What practical work have you done So far, I’ve filmed the train scene, the garden centre scene and
this week - and how helpful was your the chilled scene. My planning helped me a lot as had my script
earlier planning? telling my actors what to say and what emotion to feel and then
my story board have also helped so that I know what angles I
need to shoot in frame by frame. Another way my planning
helped was because I’m not shooting in order, I’m doing bit
when I can, it made it easier to keep on track.
How will this be useful to you as your This is one of the most important parts of the production process
production process continues I have now got a bit of my footage, I can start to edit it and
really start to form my production. This will be useful as the
production process continues as it the main part that I need to
actually get the final product finished and as the process
continues, I can now edit and see what shots work out of the
various different takes I did when filming my production. The
footage I have got is going to help me see what has worked in
my planning and will be very useful due to the fact that it is one
of the more challenging tasks to complete and if I need to re
shoot anything.
This is the location that I used for the scene when the boys are
just chilling on the sofa at home. I wanted to use this use as it
was very cosy and the sofa was the one that I pictured in my
head.
What issues did you encounter whilst I had some more issues when I was filming and that was that
out filming and how did you most people who I wanted to be my actors either couldn’t get
overcome them? to some of the locations or just didn’t bother showing up to
record. With the locations, I managed to change the pretty
quick and but the actors where hard as I didn’t have any
backups.
How suitable do you feel your I feel like all my location are stabile to be filming in as they are
locations were for your filming? just normal every day places. The only one that I would have to
say isn’t the best location would be the garden centre. This is
because it is abandoned so there is no one there and also the
widows and the ceiling are all broken and falling apart.
How have you made use of the Some of the technical skills that I have developed over this year
technical skills you have developed so are things like editing and some basic shots like the close up
far this year? shot. T the beginning of the school year I have zero knowledge
of how to use things like premier pro or how to edit at all. I still do
get confused on how to do things but I now know how to use
transitions and I’ve already started to use them in my edit that
I’ve done so far. But I do really want to focus on close up so that
I can get the pure emotion on the actors faces.
Having reviewed your footage, are So far, I’m quite happy with what I’ve got so far especially the
you happy with what you have train scene. I haven’t got much footage at the moment as I
captured and does anything need need to ask my actors what times there free again and then
reshooting? find more locations. But as an over all most of my footage is
good and I don’t need to re-shot anything so far
Are you ready to edit? If not, how far So far, I’m a little bit behind as another actor cancelled on me
behind are you? so I’m having to edit me script again
What work do you need to complete I need to fish off my script and I will need to do that at home
outside of lessons to stay on track?
