THESE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN THE WEEKS YOU COMPLETED THEM. DO NOT JUST SUBMIT THIS
FORM FILLED IN FOR YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS. THERE SHOULD BE 11 WEEKLY BLOG ENTRIES (INCLUDING
EASTER).

Week Four - Planning

PLANNING

What did you learn from your planning I learned a lot from planning, I learned a lot about my
this week? potential, as in my skills. I discovered how good I was a script
writing. During the pre-production process, I sped through
writing my script as I quickly thought of brilliant ideas, I noted
them down at the bottom of the page and slotted them in in
full detail and formatting. I also learned about the things that
you need to prepare for while panning.

I have confirmed actors through email conformation that they

are able to turn up, but one of the biggest problems I face is
not having them turn up on the day of filming. What I need to
do to make sure that this does not happen is to double confirm
with parents and locations to make sure nothing goes wrong. I
also need to keep eyes on equipment, in my lists I need tripods
stabilizers and batteries. In order to keep this in my grasp ill
need to reserve them before I forget and they’ve gone to
someone else.

What issues did you encounter and As stated, previous, I have encountered many issued while in
how did you overcome them? planning, one of them to lead by example is the fact that the
story was extremely complex.

One other thing I need to keep eyes on is my story, as stated

previously in my problem-solving sheet, locations and problems
will crop up, I came up with several ideas of the replacement
robbery, the one I settled on was my house.

How did you ensure that your I had everything mapped out in my had, I had envisioned
storyboards were completed to a high exactly what I wanted my storyboards to look like, with luck,
standard? and what was left of my art GCSE. I managed to draw decent
3D images and humanoid figures, unit was enough, what I
didn’t want was to draw a bunch of stickmen like id for
SAVEGAME. I made sure I didn’t stick to this by identifying the
style and sticking to it, it’s simple really, just assuring its
presentable with no scuffs.

How has your planning The focus of what my story is actually telling you changed quite
developed/changed during the a bit, what I mean by this is that it was intentionally going to be
planning stage? focussed all of these drugs and how the newer age crime takes
over, but in the end it just settled on bitcoin, to much to cram in
in such a short time span, I keep needing to remember the time
limits that were set for my by the competition it limits me but its
great working against those requirements, give real
independence and reminds me why I am making this.

How have you ensured your I had experiences with writing scripts in the past, I feel like this
script/shooting script is of a high projects script was at peak exception, the effort and thought I
detailed standard? put into this one was like no other because of the importance
of the whole project.

How well have you managed and The organisation of my cast and crew was very simple, I added
organised your cast and crew to be in all of my cast to a group chat, and in that chat we all
available when you need them? discussed the days we could film together, thankfully it was in
my specified filming week. All-in-all, my crew were surprisingly
organised.

Are you on track for the week? If not, I have small bits and pieces to catch up, there are some
how far behind are you? formatting that I still need to complete for my script.

What work do you need to complete Since the formatting isn’t that much, I can complete this a free
outside of lessons to stay on track? period.
