Class XI
All students to ensure that the holidays’ homework is done by them and not copied or majorly
drawn from other sources. At the same time, the assignments are expected to be completed with
a great deal of interest and involvement.
All submissions are to be made by 26 July 2018, to the respective subject teachers.
ENGLISH
1. Choose 100 words to enhance your vocabulary. Write the meaning of these words and use
them to make sentences. You may choose words from the textbooks.
2. Attempt two test papers from Total English XI-Nos. 3 & 4.
3. Read a newspaper daily.
Do try to read a few articles aloud. This shall improve your reading skills. Note down two new
words daily in your English Language notebook. Give the meaning of these words.
MATHEMATICS
Chapter Tests of the Following:
1. Angles and arc lengths : Page 3-10
2. Trigonometrical Functions : Page 4-29
3. Compound and multiple angles : Page 5-33
4. Trigonometrical equations : Page 6-16
PHYSICS
1. Prepare a working model involving any of the Physics related topics [from Class XI and XII
ISC syllabus 2019] and prepare a project report on the same containing 8 to 10 pages under
the following headings:
a) Title of the project
b) Model construction
c) Concise project work
2. Roll no wise distribution of the topics are as follows:
a) Roll no 1-4: Mechanics
b) Roll no 5-8: Fluids
c) Roll no 9-12: Sound/Oscillations & Waves
Submit the project by 26th July, 2018.
CHEMISTRY
A project file is to be made on any one of the topics given in the ISC Syllabus of 20 to 25 pages.
Project. Suggested Evaluation criteria for Project Work:

3. Analysis/ material aid (graph, data, structure, pie charts, histograms, diagrams, etc.)

The topics given in the syllabus booklet to be taken up roll number wise.
BIOLOGY
1. Choose a topic from the list given in your ISC 2020 syllabus and make a project on it
based on the council specified guidelines as listed below:

2. Project Allocation:

Students will be required to submit a work file containing practical work related to programming
assignments (at least 70 programs) based on the following topics: -

3. Operation on numbers (while loop)

5. Mathematical function
ACCOUNTS
Project:-Prepare the theory-Background of accountancy, Basic Terms,IFRS,GAAP,Accounting
Equation, Accounting standards,Journal,Ledger,cash book,trial balance & final accounts.
Question Bank-
Do Practical problems of cash book-8,11,13,14,15,16,18.
Do Practical problems of final accounts-10,11,13,15,16,17,18,20,21,23,24.
COMMERCE
Project-Make a project on any of the MNC(like-philips,bata,sony,coca-cola,pepsi etc.)Find its
type,founder,headquarters,products,owner,website & working.Make suitable graphs related to your
project.
ECONOMICS
Study Consumer Awareness amongst households through designing a questionnaire and collection of
primary data.
Present your information by making tables, graphs, charts and draw conclusions out of it.
Products:-Milk, soft drinks, shampoos, paste, automobiles, mobiles.
GEOGRAPHY
Candidates are required to prepare a Project report on any of the topics given below. Project report
should be of at least 2000-2500 words (Hand written pages about 10- 15, remaining must Cover maps,
sketches, photographs, newspaper cuttings etc.). Suggested list of assignments are:-
1. Choose any Island area of the world or India and:
a) Trace the map of the Area and show physical features, towns and port cities.
b) Through pictures, sketches , maps etc. show its Origin, formation, soil types,
vegetation, human occupations.
2. Any natural hazard like drought, flood, erosion, landslide, etc. in a nearby area or in your country.
Choose a natural hazard in the local area. Describe the nature of damage by consulting various
sources like Newspaper reports, studies and interviews with local people. Identify the nature of
damage before and after – land, Building, public property, soil, vegetation, animals etc:- What are
the chances of it occurring again and what Precautions are being taken.
HOME SCIENCE
Food and Nutrition;
1. Use 24 hrs dietary recall method to analyse individual diet plan with reference to requirements of
basic food groups and RDA. Discuss implications of deficiency.
2. Basic Cooking ;
Boiling(Boiled Egg and Boiled Potatoes)
Steaming (Rice, Idli)
Frying (Assorted veg Pakoras)
Baking (Cake ,Muffins)
Preparation of these Snacks using different methods of cooking

SOCIOLOGY
1. Roll no 1-4 : Prepare a project on the problem of slums in urban areas
2. Roll no 5-8: Prepare a detailed study of the problems faced by the Aged people in India
3. Roll no 9 onwards: Prepare a detailed study on the problems faced by the differently abled people
in our society
HISTORY
Prepare a project report on the following topics:
1. Roll no 1 to 6: The 1920s Cultural Movement – Jazz Age
2. Roll no 7 to 12: Birth of totalitarian ideologies – Fascism Communism
INSTRUCTIONS:
a) Word limit minimum: 3000 words.
b) The write up and display should be neat and arranged in an orderly manner.
c) The pictures, tables, graphs ,maps, sketches or drawings relevant with the topic should be
placed nearest to the write up material.
PSYCHOLOGY
Students have to write assignments of more than 2500 words or of 15-18 pages in their notebooks.

3. Diagrams of the fields/ Court. Measurements and dimension of the fields/ Court.
4. Fundamental skills of the game.
5. History of the game.
6. Formation of the game.
7. Names and abbreviations of the National and Major International tournaments, cups or
trophies linked with the game.
