Active Voice or Passive Voice?

The document discusses the use of active versus passive voice in academic writing. While passive voice was traditionally favored, authorities now encourage using active voice for clarity. A combination of both voices is best - active voice for introductions and discussions, passive voice for methods sections where steps are most important. The guiding principle is clarity. The last part provides examples of references in Vancouver style, including in-text citations and quotations.
